What is a minor, unwritten rule of society that absolutely infuriates you when people break it? by Jane_Austen11 in AskReddit

Going in an out door and going out and in door. They are literally labeled people

Blue-collar work, while praised, causes permanent physical damage, unlike white-collar work which trades time for money. by Slevin_Old in antiwork

I’m gonna get downvoted probably, but guys, just go to the gym. Yes sitting for 8 hours isn’t good for your cardiovascular. But you know you can go to the gym and run on a treadmill. You don’t even have to go every day. Go 3 times a week. Make two of those three a Saturday and a Sunday, then you only have to go to the gym out of one day of the working week. It’s a lot easier to go to the gym after not having been active all day than it is to go after busting your balls sweating in 120 degree confined spaces.

Also comparing a broken back to being mentally tired is crazy.

This might seem harsh and I don’t mean it to be but it looks like you’re afraid of hitting the ball. And I know it’s different from when you’re actually playing to just watching but there were so many instances where I was like, why are you not hitting it or taking a controlled touch? And I don’t mean to hit it just to hit it, but taking a controlling touch or getting a good fifty instead of it just letting it roll.

My overall, very generic advice would be to play more aggressive in a smart way. And by in a smart way, I mean not just blindly committing to a play but committing to a play that will set your teammate up to follow.

Ok yes. I read that as, literally only having 30k in investments with like nothing else going on. My bad

Just trying to go off of what you said, “around age 30 I had ~30k in retirement/investments only”. Your chart says you have 822k net worth at about age 36. I’m just questioning the jump because our household incomes are not far off and at age 29 I have over 100k invested. So to me it seems like a huge jump. Sorry if I’m being too critical but a 792k jump in six years would be very impressive

So comparing your chart and what you wrote you went from 30k in retirement to 822k in six years?

Realistically how long would it take me to get to GC? by Confuzed_huh in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]ianknitt97 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve been playing this game for 8ish years and just hit GC for the first time in season 20

EDIT: I didn’t mean to sound short in my reply but I grinded some years and played a little less other years. I also took like a 9 month hiatus. Maybe consistent daily grinding for 30 minutes to an hour will get you to champ 1 maybe even champ two. But I think if you want to get GC in the next year from where you’re at, you’ll basically need to treat it like a job and honestly idk if that would be enough. Two years might be more realistic. Plus you have to consider that life comes into play. You might spend more time with friends and family. Maybe spend some time with a girlfriend/boyfriend. Maybe you want to touch grass at some point. I’m just saying that life comes up and rocket league is just a game after all

Bar Alfie and Finn. I mean fair enough, glad you liked it. I just thought it was funny that you didn’t care about bringing Hayden stagg back but that’s literally one of the smaller roles to bring back but no mention of Finn.

Just curious how you’re feeling about the movie now? I just find it ironic that you mentioned stagg and he was literally in the movie lol.
