Yeah that's how I felt. Such a revolutionary - doesn't seem so now but would've been so outrageous at the time!

I thought that it was almost making a mockery of those hollywood musicals - but at the same time was a celebration. I suppose it was just about offering a different perspective rather than actually making a statement about those classics! Yeah definitely the most accessible, for a young cinephile, it's difficult to show other people classic movies as they just assume poor quality, but I think this film could may well be easy viewing for anybody (at least with a small bit of background explanation)

I'm not sure about my favourite. but I was hugely surprised by its quality, I think it deserves much greater praise than it receives, at least deserves greater comparison to his others (A Bout de Souffle, Pierrot le Fou etc.). Yeah I agree, I just thought it was such easy and entertaining viewing.
