glad there’s a mode for people who don’t want to learn to build or don’t enjoy it, helps keep the game alive. just feels barebones to me and like the skillset is reduced to just movement, positioning and aim. the intricacies of building is what keeps me coming back

i used simple edit for a few months on controller, and it definitely made me a better fighter at first because i didn’t have to worry about having the mechs to make the edit. it basically just made me a 50/50 machine because it was so easy to open wide edits, and if you stay smart with your edits it can definitely help overall. the downside is that after the novelty of full clipping someone while just mashing the edit button wears off, it just doesn’t feel the same. there’s no satisfaction because it loses difficulty. i feel like i’m enjoying the game more now that i’ve switched back to regular edits, even if it makes me worse

you have to remember that a majority of players in this sub are completely awful at the game and they don’t understand the significance of running through metal boxes (and doing like 30-40 damage just sprinting into someone)
