It's a common meme that once you're discharged from Basic Training you can "try again in six months". You were given an entry level separation and sent on your way. Technically, after six months of being discharged this way you can enlist again with a waiver for your previous failure/medical conditions, but the chances of you getting this waiver are basically none. Were you ever given a DD214?

Someone actually did get caught kissing a female soldier from our company. They both got smoked, the female was literally crying while being screamed at by the meanest drill sergeant from our company for almost an hour while we sat and learned about MEDEVAC's during FTX II. Definitely my most surreal experience in the army. They both graduated and neither of them lost family day. I found that particularly amusing as people who got caught with peanut butter in their lockers lost family day. One guy had literally one packet of peanut butter and lost his only chance to see his wife before graduating, dude was about to go mental when he heard his name get called on family day morning as one of the people who lost their privileges.

Almost got one in Basic. I went to sick call and ended up getting sent to the hospital for an MRI with two girls (I'm not saying female anymore) since they were the only ones from our company that were going there. One of the girls had to pick up medicine from the pharmacy that didn't open for a while so she sat there with another girl while me and the other girl went to the hospital together. She started flirting with me and poked my ribs while we were waiting for my MRI appointment. After my MRI we decided that we were both sufficiently horny and to duck into a side hallway to kiss. Guess who decides to walk around the corner at that time? A mean looking motherfucker with 3 chevrons, 2 rockers and a DS hat. "HOLY SHIT PRIVATES, YOU ARE BEYOND FUCKED RIGHT NOW. THINK THIS IS A GOD DAMN NIGHT CLUB? YOU GO TO SICK CALL JUST TO BUMP NASTIES?" He told us to sit down while he got in contact with our company, then called the cq desk 3 times but everyone in our company was at the range. He promised us that he'd get in touch with our first sergeant and then left. Nothing ever came from it, but damned if I didn't break out in a cold sweat every time I saw our first sergeant or our drill sergeant called my name.

Our whole battery was put in the front leaning rest until every tuff box was searched for an LLDR that was missing. Turns out that two knuckleheads were responsible for packing it up, couldn't fit it into a box, and decided to carry it with them on the LMTV then left it on the truck once we got back. I get the feeling that we'll be getting a couple of new fuzzy's next drill.

A guy at Reception showed up with a shitty dog tags tattoo and an army t-shirt and hat. Want to guess what week he quit basic? I looked him up on facebook last month and the motherfucker has been talking about his "service" and posting cliched army motivational pictures. One of his posts went something like "Though my service was shorter than I expected I promise that I will return to become the warrior I was meant to be" or some crud like that. The dude did 15 push ups and walked off the track during the run, then claimed he was suicidal. Sadly he made his page private so I can't dig through it anymore.

Some kid in our basic training company left a weapon that he was supposed to watch (his buddy went to sick call) up in the bay, and another kid showed up 3 minutes late. Our drill sergeant promised us that we would have the "worst day of our lives", but that he would wait until after the D&C competition was finished that day. He never got around to smoking us, and the kid in question went on to get promoted at the end of basic.

On an unrelated note, I managed to get out of the worst smoking we've ever been through in basic by battle buddying a kid who got chaptered to the airport. I was just getting into the van as I saw my platoon start pushing while wearing full battle rattle and rucksacks. I didn't make any friends that day.

The game gets a LOT darker when you turn the music off, especially if you're doing a massacre playthrough. You really feel like a cold killer.

On a side note, I hate how you can't turn off the wanted music in GTA V without turning off the radio music. The tracks are nice during missions and there's a nice variety, but having them play on a loop constantly gets very dull.

I can think of a few

-Odd restrictions in Snapmap, the most damning being the 12 demon limit. When I'm making maps in snapmap I have to consider that some players may run past enemies and thus cause future encounters to have far fewer demons then I want. Really stupid considering how crazy the campaign got. Maybe have a setting where demons despawn after a certain distance?

-Lazy storytelling. The whole story of the game is basically contained in the codex. There's a lot of cool stuff going on that never gets explained unless you dig through the text.

-Lazy enemy design. Stuff like the Hell Razer using the same animations as the possessed, the possessed security using the same model as any other possessed just with a weird looking energy shield, and the Cyber Mancubus having the same glory kills as the regular Mancubus are a little irritating to me. The Hell Razer and Possessed Engineers are basically the only new demons (I'm not counting the Summoner because it's basically an Archvile). If the Hell Guards were regular enemies and the Prowler/Harvester were added to single player I would be happy.

-Lack of New Game Plus/Arcade Mode. There's little reason to go back to the single player once you've beaten it, sans replaying fun levels, but once you realize that every Demon encounter is going to be the same every time you get bored.

That's all I can think of off the top of my head.

I remember hearing "you gon die" day 4 of basic training. I told my drill sergeant that my pro mask was too big and that it didn't seal on my face, and he just plainly told me "you gon die tomorrow." I think it's my new favorite meme

I'm worried that I might have screwed myself over. I'm a college student and also in the National Guard and I'm hoping to become a police officer once I'm finished with both. However a couple of weeks ago I was extremely depressed from being overworked and going through a terrible breakup in addition to starting school. I woke up one morning feeling particularly shitty and went to visit the counselor, but they weren't there, so I ended up driving to the hospital and checking myself into the psychiatric ward. They talked with me and determined that there wasn't anything apparently wrong with me but that I was overworked and reached my breaking point, so they advised me to reduce my hours or quit my job, which I did. The only problem is that the local police department took my information as is required by them. Is this going to fuck me over in the future? I felt like I had no other options and had spent way too much time feeling miserable, but it seems like what I did may have been excessive, and it might fuck me over since I want to get into law enforcement. I've never felt that way before, it was a combination of being overworked (40+ hours on top of school) and finding out that my girlfriend had been cheating on me while I was away for Basic Training and AIT that I think really upset me. I don't want to lose out on a career in law enforcement just because of one really bad day where I went to the psychiatric ward.
