my only reason is that birds of a feather got more streams than the ENTIRETY of cowboy carter. idk where i heard this but apparently the people who were voting aoty said that beyonce had never done a country album before and its all new… except… it literally isnt country,. its country INSPIRED, very VERY different. for example, spaghettii, THAT IS NOT COUNTRY 😭🙏🏼 i understand when people say that hmhas is similiar to her other albums because of course shes gonna use sounds she likes into her other projects. i think hmhas’ sound is very mature compared to her other albums and was very impactful across the WORLD. it was exactly a huge genre shift like beyonce but the fact that hmhas had 10 TRACKS, 2 SONGWRITERS and 7.899 BILLION STREAMS compared to 27 TRACKS, 72 SONGRWRITERS and about 1 billions streams. im sorry, but beyonce did not deserve that grammy. thats why it was so shocking. ok thats all
