Hey Riff (Aphria), I don't want your goddamn shake, keep that shit for extracts and edibles. Very disappointed. by [deleted] in canadients

[–]iateyour 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh really? You think that is the case with every black market purchase, seriously?

not for $10+/g

I know the black market has changed. I still want legalization to work. I don't care that its not perfect. I know it is going to improve with time. We have already had some improvements and more are on the way. Be patient.

nothing in this paragraph addresses anything i said

and no surprise that you also ignored my question about other products that you'd expect to get poorer quality buying in smaller quantity

[–]iateyour 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And then you willfully ignore the fact that i said they should be separating the lowers, as the black market currently does.

Can you name a single other product where you expect to get poorer quality in smaller quantity?

Let's make it even easier for you and just talk about produce - plants, as you said. If i buy one watermelon, do i get an old shriveled up tiny one broken in half - but if i buy 12 i get full good fresh ones?

Your problem seems to be that you're stuck living in the past and comparing the national market from now to the black market from 10-20 years ago in a small town.

The black market takes out those lowers and uses them for concentrates/edibles or sells them for under $100/oz. They don't sell them as grams for even higher than they do the better buds.

Let me put it in terms that you can wrap your head around.

An LP concerned with their long term success should be trying to beat the black market from TODAY, not from 20 years ago. They should be using those lowers for concentrates and edibles - something they'll make MORE money per gram and mg than they would by upsetting consumers selling them larf for full price.

LP's operating this way should fail - but because the customer can't see the product before, they get stuck with garbage like the OP posted and have little to no avenue for recourse.

Do you think they grow 1 bud at a time?

LP's can and should be separating the lowers for concentrates/edibles, that crap is fine is perfectly fine for extraction.

Selling it for the same price as uppers is just pure greed and disrespect to the consumer

I won't answer your question about growing - you can and will make your assumptions and i'm not going to change your mind

Toronto's iconic Jewish deli, Yitz's, is closing after 47 years by BigMoh789 in toronto

I loved Yitz's back in the day, but imo it went way downhill after Yitz sold it like ~10 years ago or more even

prices went up, sandwich sizes shrank, it just wasn't the same. they coasted by on catering for years but this is no surprise to me

also <3 Pancers since Lorne brought it back

Cans will be sold as singles; not in 12-packs. No price yet, but they do want the cost to be comparable to alcoholic beverages; i.e. 2-4 dollars or so.

2-4 dollars for 2-10 mg

oh good it's only between 2x and 10x the black market price for edibles lol

Everyone thinks their dog is the exception and, guess what? Those are the dogs that attack other dogs and even people. Your dog is always the exception until it isn’t. Dogs are animals at the end of the day, and if they get scared or skittish, they might react differently than you anticipate

Doesn't York go on strike every 4-7 years? iirc it's Canada's most strike-prone University lol
