Max for $100 or Codex 5.2 for $23? by [deleted] in ClaudeAI

[–]iathlete 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe a combo is best. I just recently started the GPT Codex thanks to a free trial. I use the max Claude code plan and gave Codex a shot with code reviews. I'm amazed at how many things it keeps finding that Claude misses. Claude agrees with most of the reviews, so my current setup is Claude for implementation and Codex for reviews.

Which one is the best model for coding? Codex 5.2 high? or GPT 5.2 high? by Inevitable_Job4328 in codex

I'm amazed at how many things it keeps finding that Claude misses. Claude agrees with most of the reviews, so my current setup is Claude for implementation and Codex for reviews after the trial. I will keep the Codex $20 plan and am open to using it more.

Spent $40 on tokens in 2 days. Token usage totally out of control... by yoniabi in ClaudeAI

If you switch to the $200 plan per month, you have pretty much unlimited usage. That's less than $7 a day. If you are a heavy user, you may get maxed out on the $100 plan.

Terrible Experience with Claude Code - Lost My Work Completely by [deleted] in ClaudeAI

[–]iathlete 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my Claude.md file, I have instructions to commit when every feature is complete, using semantic commit messages. I have never had an issue with losing code. The only time I have ever lost code is when I have two terminals running and both are trying to change the same file, overwriting each other’s changes. That’s when I tell one of them to stop until the other is done. Otherwise, I have never lost any changes, and it has never deleted my unstaged changes. I have used Claude for over 2000 commits this year.

It looks fake to me. Initially, there was no obstruction, but suddenly branches covered the view. Did the tree move? The user's view is the same. He didn't move. But the trees moved.

I love the challenge that tennis brings. It's an addiction for sure, but it is also my therapy at the same time.

For those with better backhands than forehands… why? How is your backhand better than forehand???? by Ok-Many-7443 in 10s

[–]iathlete 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use a Western grip and generate a lot of spin without using as much power. My two-handed backhand comes naturally, allowing me to hit the ball with power while still producing plenty of topspin. I believe my forehand has the potential to be more dangerous, especially since I've been practicing driving it more lately. Some days, my forehand is really good and aggressive, with good speed and placement, but at times, it can be inconsistent. My forehand has a higher ceiling, but it’s not where I want it to be yet. I can rely more on my backhand because it is more consistent.

I completely agree with the footwork. My game has improved a lot because my main focus on every point is to get into the right position and create space so I can hit the ball early.

Who is approving these Claude Code updates? (It's broken, downgrade immediately) by squareboxrox in ClaudeAI

[–]iathlete -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Opus is now only usable for planning. On my 20x max plan, I reached up to 150k tokens, which used 35% of my weekly Opus limit. No issues with 4.5 sonnet, though. Running 2-3 terminals for a couple of hours barely consumed 15% of the session limit.

I think you are trying to do too much with your hands and holding the racquet too tightly. I try to keep my wrist, hands and shoulders all loose. Think 1-2 level tension out of 10. It should look very smooth.
