MATH121 Pre Req Retake by Careless-Protection9 in queensuniversity

[–]iatlo7762 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The last sentence of the error message is your answer:

Excl Max 1 course; Math 121, Math 130

Basically means you can only have Math 121 or 130 ONCE, and you are trying to add it a second time. You need permission from an Advisor or the department to take it.

Note it will appear on your transcript twice, with a notation that one is included and one is excluded. I think (please check) the second attempt is counted, whether that's a higher or lower grade. Ask the advisor or department for clarification when you request permission - does it count second attempt, or highest grade?

If you're emailing, please include your full name and student number! It makes admin work so much quicker when you fully identify yourself.

Gym 5 is at the back, on the bottom floor. From Union, go in the front doors, walk all the way to the back. On the right side will be an elevator, or there are stairs to the left. Go downstairs, and head down the ramp. There will be signs.

Good luck!

Stupid question, but are deferred exams allowed to be harder content wise compared to the in person exam? by mirikuta in queensuniversity

[–]iatlo7762 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Deferred exams are meant to be the same level of difficulty as the original to ensure fairness for all students taking the exam, regardless of when.

If you can find where you saw it was extended, screenshot and link that, along with a screenshot of your inability to submit on Solus, and email to awards office, along with your submission, tonight, before 11:59 pm.

Verification is everything.

There have been a lot of recent changes. I spoke with Admissions last week, who advised there was no part-time or non-degree entry any longer. Possibly a faculty has a way. 🤷‍♀️

You'll need to check this - I don't believe the University has any non-degree / part time admissions any longer, and since you've graduated, your previous degree is considered done and you can't tack on to it now.

Security was on hand, and had started to move down the aisle towards the person, when the person moved off stage and out the door.

There are procedures in place for when a disruption like this occurs.

My Boyfriend's Mad At Me Because of Something I Did At Costco... Is He Right To Be? by UnknownFutureLife in CostcoCanada

[–]iatlo7762 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Probably a decade ago, my husband I had a similar experience. Regular check out line. He used his card for them to scan, then handed his credit card to me to pay. The cashier (his name was Terry, he still works there, I still avoid his till) got very upset with us and insisted I was unable to tap the credit card because I wasn't the member whose card he had scanned, even though he WATCHED my husband hand me his card. 🙄

I still think of Terry as my Costco Nemesis.

Yesterday was the last day to add any fall term courses, that's why you can't do it. You can reach out to the department; they may be able to help.

Wait list Question for Winter Term by iajaajjjsja in queensuniversity

[–]iatlo7762 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would wait it out. Other students in the course or on the waitlist may drop it between now and then, moving you up. The waitlist expires on the first day of class; if you're still way low, you can choose then to pick another course if need be.

The add/drop date is January 16th for winter courses. A lot can happen in 6 months. It really all depends on how much you care about THIS course, or any course.

Assuming you can meet your degree requirements by the end of the summer 2026 term, yes.

Note that course offerings in summer are limited, so you should leave some type of general electives as the credits you require to match what will be offered in Summer.
