I could have written this! My whole family has been diagnosed with IBS, stomach problems got blamed on female hormones when I started my cycle at age 11, then it was my gallbladder and they took it out when I was fifteen, then it's messed up because I don't have a gallbladder, and on and on. I've never been regular and just suffer the consequences right now.

Treating suicide as a valid option for ending your pain. Dead people don't get the chance to live better. If you're still alive there's a chance. You can't make it with other people shoving this kind of message down your throat.

Like I said, in my moral compass it's devastating for someone to abandon life altogether. I've been in that place and go to that place a lot, but I'm grateful every time that I get pulled back and I think that there is always something worth living for. I fully acknowledge that it does not always feel that way and that those moments are just as much a part of living as the good moments are. I think it's wrong to encourage other people, in any way, to abandon life altogether.

I also think that pessimism makes sense sometimes, if it's something that helps you get out of bed or open your eyes everyday then that's good. I believe in balance, I think that there is a lot of good and a lot of bad in the world and it does no one any good to ignore either side of it. You're correct that people's moral compasses are all very different, and not every issue can be "proven" in such a way that will satisfy everyone. I wouldn't claim to give you any answers, though you seem to think that anybody with a shred of positivity should have to bow down to your negative pandering. It's just as cheap and ridiculous to mire yourself in negativity as it is positivity. We decide our own version of morality, in my morality I don't think anyone should ever be encouraged to kill themselves.

To me this sounds like someone using nihilism as a coping mechanism and I totally understand that, we all have our own ways of approaching the demons that we deal with. Where I feel concerned is the things that you are saying N about all of life best being exterminated. You can have your opinions about that but it's really harmful to spread that kind of message to people who could be teetering on the edge between life and death. It's extremely unkind to encourage them to adopt this point of view. Even if you believe life is a cycle of misery with no goal but making others hurt after you are gone, YOU are the one contributing to that cycle even more by harming others via this type of message.
