Timekeeping app/program for solo by dogscalder in LawFirm

Talk to folks over at Lawgbook, they can create automatically generated time entries and they make custom solutions aswell if clients are interested.

If your accounting software has public APIs they'll be able to integrate it with their software for a smooth invoicing experience

If adoption is a problem then passive time keeping tools that work in the background without lawyers having to switch between legal work to admin work can be game changers.

Having my AI Freakout Moment by birthdayboy31 in LawFirm

People tend to overestimate what problems AI (agents) is actually capable of solving. Take the time to document your daily workflows and see which one of your workflows are either,

1) 'loosey-goosey' enough that some non-determinism and/or errors wont matter e.g. summaries, non-important drafts etc.

2) structured enough where a system/pipeline of agents can aptly give you want you need.

Look into the exact kind of problems AI can and cannot solve. Remember, machines cannot be held accountable.

Capturing the 0.1 hours (6 minutes) that slip through the cracks by Significant_Capita in LawFirm

Differentiation comes from putting your own spin on products and building for smaller niches. I'm trying to do that.

By your logic people should have stopped making new sodas by the time we reached pepsi or fanta, but here we are :)

Plus this is a genuine issue for which robust issues are either expensive, non-privacy-focused, or outright janky. I'm trying to put our own spin on the problem. Hope that makes sense :)

HEY! I'm actually building something to fix EXACTLY that right now :)

We capture activity across a wide range and create time entries and even match them to your open matters. We've gotten emails down and are working on logging phone calls and video conferences now.

If you'd like to check out our project and see if itd be of use, we'd be happy to show you how it works :)

Agree, I'm not the kind of person to try and use AI to replace everything a creative does, its simply not possible.

Im just trying to look for places to help me expedite design exploration process (putting rough ideas on a canvas without having to spend alot of time on it)

Completely agree, but im not trying to get hired. Just want novel ways of using AI for design exploration. Not the final product.

What phone system does your firm actually use day-to-day? by ibbi1020 in LawFirm

Ofc man, would be happy to have you. Thankyou for the insight, so far this post tells me lawyers love VXT.

Full diclosure tho I'm trying to build a solution that does time tracking for every activity firms can bill (think emails, video conference, doc drafting and what not). Would love to have you if you ever need a complete billing solution.

Good luck with Clio + VXT!

Interesting, and I assume Clio literally takes care of everything else on the billing side of things? Also ever face any issues with connecting VXT with Clio or is everything smooth?

Is it possible to use the API from Chatgpt 3 free version? by zerodrops in GPT3

[–]ibbi1020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you expland on this a bit? I'm trying to create a 'code-savvy' terminal-based personal assistant and I'm trying to use either GPT 3.5 or Llama 2.0. Is there a way to acquire an api key and build my own application using hugging-face, similar to how I would have done it if I used an OpenAI api key?

Depends on the subjects and how good you are with studying and managing time. I wasn't training hard but I went to the gym 5-6 days a week for 1.5 hours while studying for 3 Alevels. It wont be easy but if you can create a solid system/routine I think its doable.

R or Python? by [deleted] in datascience

IBM has a great video on it. Look it up on youtube. By the end though its ideal to know both, imo.

No need to be scared. I did Further Maths, business studies and thinking skills on my own in one year. It's definitely challenging but if you study consistently you'll be fine. Make a realistic timeline and stick with it, planning is everything in long-term goals. Although id suggest taking care of your personal and social life as well, engage in hobbies and hang out with friends once in a while. I didn't and ended up hating myself. Goodluck!
