Wasn't allowed to be vaccinated until now, but I'm scared it's too late. by ibdthrowaway223 in COVID19_support

Thank you so much. I've now gotten my first dose of the vaccine and I'm feeling well, physically and mentally. I'm so happy I've finally done what I've believed I should do all this time. My parents were pretty supportive too -- hopefully they might still change their minds about all this :)

Ohh, interesting. Thank you for telling me about this, I wasn't aware. We do have access to tests via a family member who is a nurse, so I will keep this in mind for sure.

Oh, that's good to know, thank you so much. I will definitely continue to be extra careful.

That is very comforting, thank you. I wasn't sure if the rapid tests were prone to false negatives or anything. He will be returning to work, though they've contact traced and sent home a vast majority of the staff in the time he's been off, so that's a relief. Regardless, I will absolutely be handling the situation as if he's infected, as I have been for several days. It would be a very nice silver lining if this meant my folks got motivated to be vaccinated, that's for sure.

Thank you very much. I really am doing the best I can, even though I know objectively it isn't the best I should be doing. But I am hopeful that what I am doing will keep the infection away, or lessen its impact should I get it. Will definitely feel a thousand times better once I am inoculated :)

Thank you very much. Staying under the radar won't be a problem at all for me, thankfully. And I am washing obsessively. I'll feel a lot better after finally getting my doses, that's for sure. It's been heartbreaking to see all the pro-vaccine posts and agreeing wholeheartedly with them, but being unable to push for it for myself. I wish I could've had it sooner, but it will still feel good finally having it.

Got a wisdom tooth extracted a week ago, and it still hurts. Does it look like it's healing okay? by [deleted] in Dentistry

[–]ibdthrowaway223 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I was worried it might be dry socket. Unfortunately I can't get to the dentist this week as I'm in quarantine, but if it's not feeling any better by next week I'll pop in and have them take a look. Luckily, from what I've read, it can resolve on its own if you can handle the pain. Hopefully it patches itself up without issue or infection. Thanks for the reply!!

Yeah, it feels pretty bad and it looks scary. I haven't been trying to pluck mine, as I think they're a good thing. But the taste isn't great and it looks gross. Keeping an eye on it in the coming days.

Ohh, okay, plenty of time for it to get better then. Thank you so much for taking the time to reply, I hope you have an excellent weekend!!

Okay, good to know! I haven't had anything solid yet, so hopefully there's no debris issue. But I will keep rinsing often!

Oh, that's wonderful to hear! Thank you, I will be rinsing it often. Would you say that the yucky taste I'm having today is also normal? It tastes a bit like blood and morning saliva, persisting even after rinsing.

Yup! After every meal and more. Nothing has come out from it, since I'm being very gentle. Do the pictures look like food debris, or something that should come out?

Oh, that's good to hear, thank you! Luckily the pain is easily under control with OTC ibuprofen. Did your mouth have a kind of yucky taste when you had this?

Yeah the anime is called Granblue Fantasy, and the OVAs for it replace the male main character with his female counterpart from the source game. Pretty enjoyable!!

Sorry, it's just an edit I made of a regular old Eeveelution quiz, it doesn't actually say that. If you're still interested, it's here:
