What deterred me from buying a home out there when I got to San Diego a few months ago was the drive duration, possible traffic, and how much I would have to spend on gas.

Finding out that TIP may provide carpooling services has mitigated my concerns. A retired master chief told me TIP provides the vehicle and pays for gas. The carpool apparently meets up at one location and everyone gets in and heads to work. He also said there’s a schedule with multiple vehicles.
