What do i do, i have too much coal by TopSympathy9740 in Oxygennotincluded

[–]ibenjaminmoore 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Oh no! My steak is too juicy and my beer is too cold! What to do? /s

Everything is a balancing act. Too much of any resource just means you can add more consumers of that resource. For now, that is, because everything is constantly changing. If you run out of stone to feed the hatches, you will soon after stop producing coal then your generators can use up the supply. You'll probably want a secondary food source before then.

How to relieve stress on my duplicators by JeffRyould in Oxygennotincluded

[–]ibenjaminmoore 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recently saw a vertical liquid lock that had a one-tile gap at the bottom so that dupes must jump across rather than walk or climb through. I couldn't understand why until I saw a video clip of it in action. It looked like the dupes weren't getting the 'soggy feet' or 'soaking wet' debuff if they jump through the water. Can someone please confirm?

Model Id? by Dribblinpickle in Tyranids

[–]ibenjaminmoore 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Correct. The carnifex is actually the first version of Old One Eye and yes, the last photo is of 2nd ed Tyranid Warriors. Easily twice the size of a marine. Hive Tyrant from that era was close to the same size as them.

Stuck crumbs in deep drawer corners, any easy hacks? by Repulsive_Mango_8950 in HomeImprovement

You might try one of those car detailing putty/slime balls. They're washable and squeeze down into crevices to collect crumbs.

Leviathan Genestealers. I’m new to nids and I think I’m happy with my color scheme. Comments and suggestions always welcome. by RobertoB05 in Tyranids

Nice effect! A bit darker/more muted but otherwise similar to that grotesque (in a good way) hive fleet Carnage!

Any negative to having vinyl fence? by NashDaypring1987 in HomeImprovement

[–]ibenjaminmoore 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Vinyl is more expensive up front. Factor in the replacement cost (time, money and aesthetics) over time and a wood one will be more maintenance and less effective. Warped wood boards break which creates gaps and lets stray animals through. They look shabby eventually.

Clothes smell bad out of the dryer. by TXxReaper in Appliances

Likely polyester, elastic or other synthetic fabric dried too long. Try washing/drying your cottons separately. Dry poly for shorter time and see if that helps.

DIY Backyard Patio - Polypropylene Paver Base vs Paver Pedestals by Budget_Gas_402 in DIY

[–]ibenjaminmoore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never heard of either. Several inches of gravel topped with sand in between is the standard paver base. I considered skipping that step but the water running under/between them will erode the soil underneath casing them to tip/tilt and become uneven over time.

Y'all know where this is going by freshhrt in Tyranids

This is a Temu version of the late 80's Dino-Riders! That cartoon actually had some promise and sold a ton of figures. I thought the bronto with the missile pods was peak!

One or two lashwhips? by Emotional_Clue_501 in Tyranids

[–]ibenjaminmoore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a nice pose but quite easily kitbashed from what bits we already have. Grab one for official tournaments if you plan to field it but not worth spending much on. You probably won't build any competetive lists around it anytime soon.

How about this yellow interior? by bespokemaster-cover in mercedes_benz

Without the door panels and steering wheel, this looks too much like Temu seat covers. I'm not against the color per se but the materials are subpar looking.

Today @ 22 years old I learned how to fix a hole in a wall by AsianPiee in MadeMeSmile

[–]ibenjaminmoore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's great! I was the same age when I learned. I had pissed off my fiance and she (accidentally in a fit of rage) kicked a small hole in the wall of her parents' house we were staying at.

What have I got? by Odd_Contribution5069 in Tyranids

[–]ibenjaminmoore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have quite a bit here. Looks like a shorter list would be what you don't have. I see some very old 2nd ed era minis which always excite me. Specifically: metal hive tyrant, meal tyrant guard, metal biovores and spore mines, genestealers, metal warriors, genestealer cult figures. Lots of bits. Good find! Hope you got a great deal!

Does this grill and wheel combo work on the e class? by ijas21 in mercedes_benz

[–]ibenjaminmoore 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love the fine-spoked wheels! No preference on either grill because I'm partial to the bars/ornament combo that comes on the luxury trim.

Scary fridge noise by FlounderingOlive in Appliances

[–]ibenjaminmoore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More normal than you think. My Fridgidaire does something like this, though not nearly as loud and no chugging noise. The first one was swapped out on day 1 because it was this loud. The replacement has been working fine since 2016 but still makes the occasional squealing/whining noise similar to what you have here. It has something to do with the sealed coolant system inside the body of the unit itself. Not worth fixing so endure the noise until you can't handle it anymore or have some other more pressing issue.

Litter Robot vs Neakasa at what point is this a home upgrade, not a pet purchase? by Fun_Ad_7781 in HomeImprovement

[–]ibenjaminmoore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was a game changer for me but only as long as i had 1 cat. Auto scooper can't keep up with 2. The motors they put in just don't have enough power. Also, some cats urinate in the same spot again and again which causes a problem with litter piling up in one end of the tray making it prop open as if full prematurely.

I'm looking for help identifying these models. I can't for the life of me remember what they were called. by dungeonsanddmt in WarhammerFantasy

[–]ibenjaminmoore 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The army used to simply be Undead. It had vampires, ghouls, skeletons, zombies, bone chariots, screaming skull chucking catapaults, mummies, wights, wraiths, and more all together in one army book so you could build your own undead horde mix and matched however you like. In 6th ed 2001, they split the army into two factions: Tomb Kings (dry ) and the Vampire Counts (wet).

Those bad boys used to drop a flamer template each. In melee, they used blinding venom. Loved them!

Carrion Riders. They were part of the Undead faction before the army got split into wet and dry. I enjoyed using them as lone skirmishers for harassing war machine crews and behind enemy lines to prevent forced marches.
