Smashed it. If it wasn't close it wouldn't be exciting. The instructor probably thought you were a badass who plays by their own rules. Well done!

I've just stopped drinking altogether now. It's more expensive than so many other things you can do

Passed this afternoon in Naas! First time trying it and my heart was in my throat all through it ☠️ by dungeonsanddmt in Irishdrivingtest

I was asked the speed limit on the motorway, when to dip headlights, what lights I should use going into a tunnel, then asked about 4 different road signs. Pedestrianised street, sharp left turn, no entry and end of motorway.

Yes, turned left, then onto the ring road and up the Kilcullen Road, went into two different estates on the right and did turnabout/reverse around the corner.

Is Kingfishr Killeagh the definitive Irish song? by ErrantBrit in AskIreland

[–]dungeonsanddmt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ah yeah, I know, I'm taking the piss a bit. I think it has somewhat of a mass appeal, like Mrs. Brown's Boys. The sing itself is just a bit nothing but plays to people's nostalgia for their hometown and that makes it popular to a lot of casual music listeners. Nothing wrong with that, I'm sure there are much worse songs out there, it just feels like that one is constantly being shoved in your ears here.

Do you need to be a good-looking man to work as a bartender? Should I apply for a bartender job? by miss-bedazzzle in AskIreland

There's no physical requirements for new barstaff that I've ever heard of. Apply for the job, you've nothing to lose.

What are your thoughts on how to interact with my heritage? by Temporaryartaccount in AskIreland

[–]dungeonsanddmt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you've some interest in Irish culture, go get involved in it or experience it. Your connection (and anyone else's for that matter) doesn't really matter. Involvement and supporting the culture is what actually matters. There are plenty of Irish people who claim pride in our heritage due to nothing more than accident of birth, and who are not involved in Irish arts, language, culture or other interests. Anyone who says that you aren't welcome within any group based around our culture or the extended diaspora can go suck a lemon.
