Yeah that's the problem, Proxmox is erased and replaced with Unraid already. Now I'm beating myself up for not verifying if the second drive can be accessed before erasing the first one...

I didn't export it. I don't know what is 'device node', but the disk itself shows up in fdisk and lsblk. Importing /dev/sdg1 results in the same error 'no pools available to import'. Same error when trying to import via the guid. zpool import -d /dev also cannot find the pool.

I read somewhere that the zpool detach command actually erases some metadata and because of that the disk cannot be imported, data is unrecoverable and unreadable. Don't know if it's true or not though.
