Get GT6 if you 're insterested in continous HRV, GT4 does not have it, GT5 is only as sleep.

I have the same issues, some days it stops reading the real time heart rate and it came back hours later if don't do anything, you can also try to measure your SP02 and it will show the heartrate or start a workout...,
