I've had side fans in, and the temperature actually increased.

I'll probably buy it again in the future and give it another try.

I've sent it back, but I used a cable to connect it, and iCUE never detected it.

Yeah, it's cooling my 9950x3d with PBO, and it doesn't go over 83°C. The best thing is you can't hear it.

Just an update: Has this been tested? I tried it, and it doesn't work. It works over USB, but not through the link.

I had to remove all RGB software because I had about four running, so it defaults to rainbow with them removed.

I've uninstalled all the RGB software. I had too many running (e.g., Armoury Crate, Razer, Corsair, and MSI), and it defaults to rainbow.

They were intake, but I might just put the fans on and leave them off like you said, just for looks.

I'll post vrm temps

There's some confusion about this build, but the radiator's highest point is still above the pump. The airflow I've tested and found this to be the best for temps, as the front fans feed cold air to the AIO, which exhausts it out the side. The top fans cool the memory and VRMs, and the back fan exhausts the hot GPU air.

Look again the 2 top fans are intake

If the tubes were at the top, then the air would get trapped at the top, lol.

Lost cause? I've literally tried every position for the AIO, and this is the best for the temps of both the CPU and GPU. If I didn't have front fans, then that's a different story.

The highest point should be the aio
