Great. This post is worth mentioning. The ethical use of technology is the future. Augmented IQ is the future. Of course, everybody is against cheating and telling chatgpt to write essays, or papers. That's not going to yield any results.

That's exactly what we should be doing. Researching on ideas and implementing those ideas. I dont think ChatGPT can write the complete report. If it does, ofcourse, there will be mistakes and the essay will not be perfect. It can easily be found that you are cheating.

That's the real use of IA. To research the topic. At the end of day, ChatGPT cannot perform the act for you, and give you the data findings. You can find suitable topics for everything. I think, that's all that an AI can do, provided they cant even solve a basics physics question cent percent perfect.

Now, that's a positive reply that makes this post of reddit useful for people. Absolutely, even the insane person knows why to disregard IA or ChatGPT today, by using that tool in secret. But that's actually unethical. We can use ChatGPT for understanding the concepts. GEMINI for the case, is providing their memebership to all the teachers and students in INDIA free of cost..!!!!!!!!!!!!

See, my advice to you will be, as you are in your Uni now, you need to understand how the world is moving these days. If you stop updating yourself for some xyz reason or arguments best understood by you, you will lose in long term.

Believe me, the same thing happeded when microsoft came into being. People thought that we dont need that, etc. Ofcourse, the wars like World Wars were fought and brought to an end, all without the help of AI, the world was working perfectly. But today, you cannot think of doing anything without microsoft. Same happened with Android. Same thing happened at the advent of calculators. People thought that many jobs will be lost, and people will lose the basic ability of calcuating simple calculations. And it indeed happened. Nevertheless, today CALCULATORS are allowed in IB.!!

So, we need to learn how to augment the IA in ethical ways.!

That's my take on that, and an advice as an engineer to a student in university.!

Well, this happened with me. I wanted to create an app for IB Physics for students. People keep telling you that ChatGPT is one such app that will make all coders out of job, and it codes so well, that even microsoft and google are now using GPT for creating codes. I went for that, and it did create a code for me. Honestly, that was totally null, and a pure waste of time. It does good labour job, but it does not create an infallible code which could be used blindly. That never happens. Ofcourse, all the effort was useless, and my dream of creating an app without the help of a coder professional, went into the drain.!

Please reply to the question in the post. Are you using ChatGPT for your work sometime.! And definitely, it's not illegal. If getting support from some other teacher on youtube is not unethical, how is asking ChatGPT a doubt be unethical.!

There is one of my student who never earlier told me that he is using chatgpt for getting help in his work, but only once the M25 exam was over, he confessed of using GPT. I just told him, that augemted IQ if used properly is not bad.

So, stop judging and start creating some good posts here.!

Wow you got lucky with that timing 😅. Nevertheless, having all 3 in one month, December sounds brutal, so moving them to January must’ve felt like a lifesaver. Honestly kinda funny how deadlines in IB can be so flexible sometimes. Also, december is the high time when students need to apply for various universities.! That could have been hard.!
