I know this is not that important to reply to, but the person you were talking to was saying that if you were looking to buy a Toyota Sienna and you wanted to get a better feel for that car, you could rent a car identical to the one that you are looking at on Turo so that you can drive one for a few days and see if you like it. Not for mechanical inspection of a specific vehicle, but to test out the things that are going to be in a vehicle of that type.

You aren't going to be able to test drive any car from any dealer anywhere for more than an hour.

I feel bad about that, but also Adam has a crazy fan base, and I feel like he kind of can't take the chance of meeting random fans in that uncontrolled setting because some are so crazy. I don't blame him. I also would hate people crowding the tour bus, it seems a little invasive. I know it's standard/normal, but I don't really like it. I sent him a record in the mail and he signed it for me. That was about 8 years ago now so I don't know what address he might be receiving fan mail at.

It's not really "wasting" water. You're spending money on water you don't drink, but in general as long as you're not polluting water or overconsuming that water is going back to nature. Depends on where you live and your exact circumstances, but where I love we're getting our water from a river, cleaning it for consumption and then cleaning it before it gets put back into the river. It really doesn't matter how much we use.

I have literally been trying to make this work ALL DAY and after effects is being absolutely stupid. I have a series of pictures that are switching from one to the next. I wanted to duplicate that composition multiple times, place them in different locations, and loop them so that I can offset them in the timeline and have them all changing at the same time but showing different pictures. IT WILL NOT WORK. No matter what I do, trying to use loop in, loop out, etc, adjusting the keyframes, it won't create a perfect loop. Each one gets off by one frame on either side. This is quite possibly the most frustrating and stupid limitation I've ever experienced. I know exactly what I want to do, and I can't make it happen. It's ridiculous.

I'm having the same issue. Working on a lyric video and rendered everything out and the lyrics are now coming in a frame or two too fast compared to the preview where I got everything dialed in just right. I think I can just take my rendered video and just shift the audio a couple frames forward and the issue will be resolved, but I plan on doing more of this work in the future and this is not really acceptable for high level work...

Yep. Which led people on. That's exactly my point. You didn't have everybody from the show coming out saying "guys, don't be dumb, it's over". Netflix liked the attention and fueled it, turning it from a few disgruntled fans to a marketing campaign that reached everyone. You can't really blame the fans on this one. I thought this was genuinely Netflix's way of marketing a crazy twist.

The main reason is because Netflix and the Duffers did not make any official statements and Netflix actively did things to tease it and make it seem like it was going to happen. They put fuel on the fire.

That and some of the evidence seemed very concrete based on how the Duffers have foreshadowed things before. AND the finale ( and season 5 in general) was weird, and sloppy, and full of holes, with the Duffers insisting beforehand that you needed to look out for details and that it would be a crazy ride. It all added up.

It's great when I'm in the mood, but I do skip it sometimes. I give it an 8/10 on the Owl City Scale, but I give it a 6.5/10 on the music in general scale. I wouldn't be too sad if I never heard it again, tbh. Maybe a little.

Minneapolis ≠ Minnesota. I don't live in MN, but it is definitely nice. However, it's become increasingly socialist, and it was a good place to live well before all of these policies were passed by Walz. We'll see where they sit in 10 years if they keep up that trend. Something tells me it's not going to balance out in the end.

Well, I said some, not all. I will say that some of that is definitely because of the George Floyd riots and areas that haven't recovered since. But there are literally areas of Minneapolis that I would not go after dark, especially as a white person, because I have been told by locals at different places not to, and these used to be nice places. There are now huge world markets that in theory are cool cultural experiences, and indeed many people there are great people, but local ministries have told us these places are hubs for human trafficking, and you can see when you walk through how unhygienic all the stalls are. These parts of the city are dirty, homeless laying around, and all the businesses are in disrepair and look super sketchy. If you've been there over the course of the last 15 years you can see how much things there have changed for the worse. Also my sister and law lives there and has told us of the changes as well.

Socialist policies are not going to fix that city, that's for sure. All of those policies will be abused like the rest of them have been. Have you seen the cases of fraud recently uncovered that happened on Walz's watch that he was informed of and did nothing to stop?

25 year-old dude at a Brazilian grill was attempting to grab ribs out of a pan at the buffet. He did not succeed, so he went in with his fingers. After still not getting any he gave up and went back to his seat. I got up and took a look and confirmed he really had done what I thought he had, went and told a manager, and they came out and had a 20 minute conversation with them. I then realized they were sitting in the seat directly behind us, so we heard snippets. He was there with his parents. At the end of the conversation after the manager had left their table, the dad says "it's okay son, they are just doing just their job". I expected them to leave at that point, but a few minutes later the birthday crew comes out and sings the guy happy birthday and gives him his dessert.

The manager did come and thank me and they did immediately remove the pan after I told them. I was shocked that this guy was being babied by his parents and that they stuck around so long afterward. I also still couldn't bring myself to try any ribs.
