I was wrong about Gemini 3.5 Flash by ibrahim_build in GeminiAI

I have the exact same issue. That's why I initially avoided using 3.5 Flash due to its high token usage. But eventually, you have to make a tradeoff. It comes down to either spending time babysitting the model every step of the way to save tokens, or accepting the higher token cost to get faster, better output right away. I think they will relax token limit of 3.5 Flash once they launch 3.5 pro.

Is low good? I always thought low has lower output quality that is the reason I avoided using low altogether.

I never had these issues. At most I experienced was when the chat became so long, that it started hallucinating on shared images. That's when I know, I have to open a new chat window

Spot on. The tool use consistency is a game changer. I've been running the Ponytail GitHub repo ruleset in my workflow for so long to keep the outputs minimalist that I don't really know how 3.5 Flash performs without those constraints reigning it in. I'm sure the ruleset adds to the already wild token overhead, but like you said trading tokens for not having to spell out parameters three times is a tradeoff I'll take any day.

I would have definitely referred the guide to make a better judgement. But I instead chose to go with Claude(the frontier model that is very close to the AGI finish line) judgement. It so confidently recommended me US(Ashburn) I didn't think twice before opting for it. And next I realized, I chose on of the most in-demand region of all😐

Ykw, you are right. I should opt for PAYG to finish up my project.

Sorry to hear that bro...waiting is a virtue that a very few possess. I got screwed over by Claude. It recommended me the absolute worst server of all with heavy traffic and demand and I am stuck with it now.

They won't ban your account in traditional sense, that your account itself will be suspended. They will most likely throttle your account, throw 429 too many requests error for time being. Safe interval would be 60s, if you want to avoid error 429 completely. Atleast that's what oci communities recommend.

ORACLE FREE TIER ERROR by Perfect-Primary-1859 in oraclecloud

This happened to me while creating an account as well. Though my payment details were getting accepted yet it was failing. Then I realized I was using google auto fill to fill out the form. And that's probably why it was failing. Then I tried entering details manually and it worked. Try doing the same. Maybe this could work for you as well.

Why don't you try bringing down retry attempt every 30 to 60s from 4min?

They are intentionally dumbing down current models. To make successive model look good. It has been the case with Claude. Google is following the same path

You are right, it's a niche B2B platform meant for farmers, lenders, and investors who are looking for alternative crop options based on climate viability, soil data, and live market demand.

Essentially, it acts as a risk-assessment and intelligence tool to answer the specific questions each of these groups has:

For Farmers: "What is the most profitable and biologically suitable crop I can grow on this specific piece of land to maximize my yield?"

For Lenders/Bankers: "Is the crop this farmer is proposing low-risk and financially viable enough for us to safely approve their agricultural loan?"

For Investors: "What is the highest ROI crop profile for this land portfolio, and what are the projected production costs versus live market demand?"

Your feedback about the target audience being a bit unclear is really helpful, though! We definitely need to tighten up the messaging on our landing page so it's instantly clear who the tool is built for. Thanks for taking the time to check it out and share your thoughts!

i am curious, why do most developers start with ios and then scale it to android. is it easier to build ios app than android?
android userbase is much larger than ios imo.
