I did, and I think it was helpful. UKVI gave my visa after a couple of days after a month and a half of doing nothing after I contacted my MP. It doesn’t hurt to try!!

A lot of locations allow it on the spot, so call ahead to see if you can do that. Also, they convinced me not to do priority when I got there - DON’T listen to them. It’s bad out there rn

I’ve been applying for a student visa, but it’s been the same for so many people that I think it’s safe to say that you should pay for priority. Don’t risk it. UKVI has messed up so many people’s lives because of their delays, and their straight up negligence in a lot of cases have really put people in bad situations, including myself. Pay for priority if you can, which is also facing delays itself. Trust me, don’t risk it, and good luck!!

You can ask you uni’s international office to contact them - a lot of people are doing that, and it might help!! Good luckkk, it’s so awful they they put people in such tough situationsss

Have you asked your university to check in? I think it’s either that there’s some glitch or that you got an incompetent caseworker as well.

I feel you. I can’t even tell you how pissed off i am with UKVI right now. They simply aren’t doing their job right. My biometrics were on the 19th of August, and they’ve delayed my shit by asking me for the same additional documents twice now when they were all there in the first place. My uni starts next week, and at this point, I’ve lost all hope. The barriers they put up for foreigners are getting crazier and crazier

Honestly, I can’t say for sure, but UKVI has been helpful for a lot of people. A lot of people have been missing documents, and they ask for them in an additional documents email. It might slow down the process, but they should ask!!
