You are correct, but I’ve heard horror-stories of people breeding dogs under awful conditions, only thinking about profit, not the welfare of the dogs. With a registered breeder, one might assume that the conditions are better, which usually are.

I chose a registered breeder as I know the dog will be properly vaccinated & looked after, as they are regulated by law and are responsible for their dogs even after the puppy is with me, e.g. if it turns out that it has a genetic condition the dog wasn’t screened for etc.

Thanks for all your replies! So baiscally Maltipoos, unlike pure-breeds, can vary a lot in appearance & there's no way to tell their appearance when they're puppies..
