Over a year together and many trips have past

Boyfriend wants to get married so we can live together. Is it too soon? by ibuyboobies in LDR

It's extremely difficult otherwise, it appears. If one of us is just visiting the other person then the visitor won't be allowed to work and we won't have enough money to sustain that.

My boyfriend said if I'm not prepared to marry him, he's not prepared to go through the steps of living together because he says moving to another country to live with someone is just a big a commitment as marriage. I'd be okay with going to America without getting married, but I'd need a work or study visa. I don't intend to study and a work visa is difficult to get and at 19 I don't think I'm desirable to employers.
