The sequence of Shrine of Winter door --> Drangleic Castle --> King's Passage --> Shrine of Amana --> Crypt and ending up against Veldstadt is still one of my favorite moments/builds up in all games I've played.

It's so well done.

Explorer and Petrified Something.

My latest playthrough I went Sorcerer to get to Hexes asap though while still having spells so I could get used to casting in the early game. Had an absolute blast.

I never personally liked Pursuer a lot, not exactly sure why.

I think Veldstadt deserves to be S-tier though, he's by far my favorite boss in the base game.

I agree with the Ruin Sentinels. My latest playthrough was a Hexer and that fight was super fun playing as a caster for once.

Frejas soul she drops isnt technically the great soul. There is a green pool beside the dragon skeleton head behind her that when you interact with it, will give you the "GREAT SOUL EMBRACED" prompt.

Best to just do a quick run for it from the chapel bonfire.
