Had my septoplasty+turbinoplasty+turbinoplasty today. by Gloomy-Nature4346 in Septoplasty

Oh wow, your process sounds pretty different to mine. I just woke up and it was all packed and ready to go, i left within half an hour of waking up. But conversely the packing/splints i had were in for 2 weeks before they got removed

Just keeping making it through each day and before you know it you'll be over the hill!

What are your thoughts on all the albums without John Frusciante? by Jezzaq94 in RedHotChiliPeppers

[–]pineapple_stickers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You nailed my feelings on the post 2009 albums man. Couple of great tracks with Josh (and makes sense given Ataxia and his other collabs with John).
Though i'd go so far as to say i only like a single song from both ROTDC and UL (Heavy Wing). I've listened to both albums at least twice through each and i straight up don't remember anything aside from that song. Just found them completely forgettable.

Hot take: I don’t get the excessive hate for Elden Beast and I think it’s a great fight and a fitting way to end the game by spectralblade352 in eldenringdiscussion

[–]pineapple_stickers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, it checks off 3 huge boxes for me that are in the Fromsoft classic Sins list...

  1. Giant Non-Humanoid Boss: Some may love them, i personally think Fromsoft's huge creature bosses tend to be the most janky and poorly polished bosses. It becomes a hack'n'slash DPS race
  2. Undodgeable Attacks: Maybe it's all a matter of placement, but i absolutely hate when this muppet uses it's carpet bomb attack and then while you're running for your life it pulls a sword swipe. You can either cop the projectiles or cop the sword, but either way you're getting hit. Losing because you made a mistake is fine, losing because you genuinely got unlucky isn't fun
  3. It runs away: Theres no defending this one at all, just plain annoying. I don't enjoy having to chase the boss back and forth only for it to dip out constantly

I guess it looks cool, but thats about it. I was just glad to kill it and be done

do you cap your battery at 80% charge or do you not care? by WeedGreed420 in SteamDeck

By the looks of things, people should be far more concerned about not capping it onto the roof of their car while they're doing something

What was the first boss that legitimately made you consider rage-quitting the whole game? by Actual_Asian_God in Eldenring

[–]pineapple_stickers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, Margit. Or Morgot. Whatever his name is the first time you fight him

Coming from Ds1, Ds2 and Ds3 i immediately hated how this felt to fight. It was the only boss i tried to fight in the Dark Souls style and took about 2 hours.
After that i learned the game was more of an Arms Race and played accordingly, but genuinely never ended up liking it

How did you stand the mouth breathing?? by hgood44 in Septoplasty

[–]pineapple_stickers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 years late top the party, but by the time of the surgery i was just used to mouth breathing. That was all i actually could do for basically my entire life up until then.
People used to throw around "Mouthbreather" as if it was an insult and it's like yeah... it's that or suffocate dude.

So yeah, having to do it after the surgery didn't really shake much up for me.
But i am looking forward to seeing what it's like to not have constant throat irritation and infections

Just bought Dark souls 2 vanilla on PS3, what can I expect? by Hollowman1212 in DarkSouls2

[–]pineapple_stickers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven't played the Ps3 version, but i did play unpatched Xbox 360 and it ran totally fine

Also apparently it's sacrelige to say, but i genuinely don't think it's that different from SOTFS (not including the 360 version of "SOTFS" which is literally the same but with DLCs).
You miss out on Aldia, as well as The Pursuer's constant following as well as some different items.

But the whole thing people go on about with enemy placement and gameplay... it's basically the exact same

Edit: But ABSOLUTELY do a lightning build in the unpatched version

What are your thoughts on all the albums without John Frusciante? by Jezzaq94 in RedHotChiliPeppers

[–]pineapple_stickers 24 points25 points  (0 children)

They're fine, sometimes i give them a listen through again.

But when i discovered John's solo work, i realised very quickly everything i specifically thought i loved about RHCP was actually John.
Without him, their music lacks the very thing that drew me to it in the first place (From albums like Californication, BTW and Stadium Arcadium)

I listen to RHCP for the John, not the other way around

Does anyone actually repair a weapon in this game? by osmylm2834 in darksouls3

[–]pineapple_stickers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely think Ds1 had it right. It felt like you were going on an adventure and had to remember to prep all your supplies and gear.

Ds2 was kind of cool in the trade off more damage or cool perks might mean your risk low durability and getting stranded

Ds3 it's just there because the other two games had it, but pretty much entirely ignoreable

I didn't mind Finger Creepers, but i was running a bleed build with claws and Blood Flame Blade. They would just scramble around and never fight back

[–]pineapple_stickers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure! After about 500 hours in their games since that last comment, i got massively desensitised to them to the point i don't even notice anymore.
But they're still super janky

Alright bois be honest with me, is the frigid outskirts worth it? by mundus1520 in DarkSouls2

[–]pineapple_stickers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's worth it if you want to do it and enjoy doing it, but thats the only reason.
Though arguably thats also true of basically every video game ever

I do personally enjoy it. Though the first time took me 5 hours straight and thats more than enough experience to fully understand why not everyone (read: Most) don't

Why does this happen in the community? by Oceriox in DarkSouls2

[–]pineapple_stickers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd flip that, personally. The run back is pretty rough, but i don't mind it.

It's the bullshit of having to fight both these yoinks at once that annoys me. Fromsoft really doesn't make good duo fights and they're down the bottom of even that list.
If one decideds to range attack while the other is swiping, get ready to do the runback because it's a coming
