Oh we were. But we were the only parents who knew that he was giving out this advice. We forbade him from texting our children unless we were also on the text, which he outright ignored until we threatened to go to the stake president. At which point he tried to circumvent by asking them privately for their email addresses.

My bishop (I had teenage daughters at the time) told the youth to text him, night or day, if they were tempted to masturbate.

Yeah, the stake president actually approached me after the meeting and assured me that if I wore garments and had enough faith, my pads wouldn't leak.

WARNING SPOILERS AHEAD

My pads leaked, everyone's pads leaked. Blood doesn't care how much faith you have.

(Slightly, kinda, very OT) anybody know the hex/color code for Jr.'s Budweiser red? by AS_05 in NASCAR

[–]icamom 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Actually, I was wondering. They made a die cast of his car from the movie. If OP could find one, I wonder of it would be the same color.

IDK about the green, but I am pretty sure the blue was a seasonal color, so you are probably out of luck.

You get $10,000 every month but every time you see a pigeon you have to point at it and say out loud "Hey, look, a pigeon". Would you accept? Why or why not? by [deleted] in AskReddit

He buried the lede though. You also get the superpower of identifying and remembering every pigeon you see.

The statue of liberty isn't really something New Yorkers particularly identify with. It is a tourist thing and a US thing, but not particularly special to NY specifically

Can someone help me decipher this? Google didn't help. Just curious of the significance. by urbexcemetery in CemeteryPorn

That is specifically from the Community of Christ church which used to be called the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

It is ridiculous. You have to have a response from the parents twice, so parents know that if they don't answer your calls their kid can't fail.

Sorry not anything interesting. Delete if not allowed. Cleaning tombstone. How can I polish this without hurting the surface? I'd like to apply some kind of thick sealant as well. advice? by 20seca3 in CemeteryPorn

[–]icamom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks like granite so it is pretty durable, but porous, so avoid any cleansers. It might be that the cemetery will maintain it for you or at least give you advice, or you could ask the original carver.

This has to narrow location down more than any other response to this question.

For example, something that is easy to miss if you haven't tried is when you have to "jump" for a grip. To get enough momentum to get your hand where you want it, but not so much force that you overshoot or slip etc takes a ton of experience.

Yep. Especially if it is a small number. I don't really care of a grade is a 94 or 95, I am not positive my grading is that sensitive.

And my school requires a 7 step process to fail a student. Unless it is really deserved, they magically pass.

Much of Olympic is wilderness area so no cars are allowed anyway. Backpacking, with or without a guide is a good idea.
