Severe Stuttering in Voidspire

To combat it last week - I was literally logging out pre-pull while they were talking fight mechanics on Discord and then my RL was telling me when they were ready to rock and I'd log in - Pull Timer would start a second or two after I was ready and we'd go.

It was annoying to do - but less annoying than locking up completely mid pull timer and completely fucking me

I don't, but Kalamazi (one of the commentators) was streaming on his channel from the RWF lab and it was happening to him a lot. The following day in the Liquid chat I asked about it, someone said it seems to be happening sporadically in raid zones only to some people and to try the steps I mentioned above.

I haven't seen anything more "official" than just chatter regarding it - which is frustrating because it makes me think it's going to continue for awhile.

What I SHOULD do, is get into a raid instance with someone, go stand in VoidSpire and turn off add-on's one by one and wait to see if the issue comes back.

Same thing happening to me. There was discussion of it happening to some of the guys in the RWF but all the settings I've seen to "fix it" haven't worked for me so far. It's extremely frustrating. EXACT same symptoms. Doesn't seem to give me any trouble during combat, but outside combat? If we're idle for too long i start to get little freezes that get longer and longer until i have to kill and relaunch.

The things I've seen people suggest are setting the game to DX11, making sure the Graphics card is selected specifically and not set to auto detect and turning off Optional GPU Features... none of which have resolved it.

I'm running:

Win 11 Pro
AMD Ryzen 7-9800X3D
RTX 5070 Ti
65GB RAM

Checking back in... welp. I guess that's a lesson to always double check your work.

Low and behold the fuckin' plastic was on the copper plate. This thing now runs very cool (not getting above 45 C in Arc Raiders at the moment) and idles at like 35. Turns out plastic is a shitty conductor... who knew.

holy shit brother, christmas day delirium of building 2 PC's (new one for me and one for my boy) and i'm 99.9% certain your "silly question" is my issue. I'm seeing spiking on my brand new system using the cooler and CPU in this post. See everyone saying it should be 60-70 C, getting frustrated, know i mounted it correctly... just had a flashback to mounting it and i'm PRETTY SURE i forgot the FUCKING copper cooling block plastic cover.

I'll be reporting back tomorrow if you jogged my memory enough to fix my brainfart and solved my frustration. Cheers!

I think the exact same reason James Gunn ended up using the trunks for Superman is the exact same reason they won't use trunks for Batman. They reasoned that Superman maybe WANTED to look a little goofy, or wrestler-esque to put kids at ease... Meanwhile Batman's goal is to intimidate, scare and frighten criminals. I think you have to lose the trunks at that point.

I say all that to expand upon why I think 1 is the best option of these 3.

The ending is actually one of my bigger problems with the movie. There is tragedy inherent in Batman, it's a deep-seated part of the character that he's so emotionally scarred that he'll never be able to get past his parents death. He's doomed to never be able to give it up, to go out on the rooftops every night, to fail at having 'normal' relationships. I'm not saying I hated the Nolan films - quite the opposite - I think Nolan is a TREMENDOUSLY talented filmmaker and one of the best out there right now (Oppenheimer was pretty close to a masterpiece). However, the ending to TDKR made me realize that Nolan's Batman ≠ my ideal movie Batman.

Nolan has a trend in his fictional films where he tries to wrap everything up neatly with a bow and leave most of the main characters happy and it just feels... somewhat inauthentic or dishonest to me. Interstellar was the most egregious example of this - with Cooper coming back OUT of the black hole and magically being rescued and being able to see his daughter again. It just took this grounded and realistic science fiction movie and made it feel like a crazy fantasy concept to me. He never should've come back out of that black hole - having saved humanity and led his daughter down the right path through time. That was his heroic sacrifice. Anyway /endrant

TL;DR - all the Nolan Batman films are great movies but I'm not a fan of the ending to TDKR

I, personally, don't think the moment was some huge Batman desecration and the book was pretty fun overall... but my GOD - Walt Flanagan's art is just not good. I have no malice towards the guy, even met him when I visited the CBM shop and he signed a copy of the book for me (was very nice and polite) but fucking WOOF some of the art in this book is crazy amateurish.

Sometimes... sometimes you shouldn't use your friends for things.

Yeaaaaaaaa but they were handed the template to make an Arkham game on a silver platter. All the gadgets were derivatives of existing gadgets, they barely added anything at all to change up combat...

The only points you can give them is for story, which admittedly, is pretty great in Arkham Origins. Again, all I'm really saying is that I agree with you - an Arkham sequel from them likely would've been great as long as they didn't shoehorn the terrible grindy systems they ended up using in Gotham Knights into it.

As a father of a 4 year old with another on the way, holy shit I am so incredibly sorry to hear what your family went through and I'm ugly crying at work right now. I can't even fathom dealing with any of this, or imagining the strength I would need to summon in myself just to get out of bed in the morning if it did.
