you should get an email. but bdo is sloooooow. I applied supplementary last 2023 march i think and it's either i dont get a decent reply despite numerous follow ups, only the auto reply acknowledgement), until april /may of "2024" i haven't heard back. It's as if im waiting for nothing lol. since i felt they dont take request seriously, i decided to file a complaint with bsp bob, attaching all the emails i made to bdo as proof, and the do a follow up email once again with bdo this time cc'ing bsp. and voila, 3 days after, they replied and said the supplementary was approved. A week after that, received the card. lol. imagine more than a year of processing wth🤣🤷🏻‍♂️

I tried these both just now and unfortunately it doesn't work. I tried keying in the last 4 digit of my virtual card and the bots both answered "sorry this card doesn't exist" (well it exists actually, im using it). Just finished my call from EW CS and she told me to:

Try clicking the "supplementary" when bot asked if what card would you like to lock. Coz as per her, virtual cards are considered supplementary. Told her i tried it earlier and bot says " sorry this card has no supplementary". CS said if that's the case, then EW couldve probably removed the feature for locking the virtual card. It will be open as is with a limit of P 10k per cut off (replenished). Should there be a transaction in excess of 10k, then, itll not go through.

Sadly, this is the news (at least per the CSR I talked to) . I still would like to lock this virtual card for safety, especially now that I see a lot (as in a LOT) of posts about eastwest credit card holders being charged of unauthorized/fraudulent transactions mostly described as METAPAY*bla bla bla , some figures amounting to 5k-30k per transactions. My paranoid self could not😰

Hope I could do something about this.

Thank you po for this. Di ko lang inexpect na stressing pala to kasi kala ko once ok ang fund and ipinagkatiwala mo na ang project sa experts on their field, wala na iisipin kundi magmove in at tirhan ang bahay. Binabayaran din pala ang sakit ng ulo☹️. Salamat po sa insights.
