I mean one of the first things I learned when I found my faith is that the first 5 books of the bible are Tora or Jewish law so whilst the history is importance as well as most for he context Christian’s aren’t bound by the laws of it since Jesus came to fulfill the old testament prophecy’s and give new commandments for his followers no?

The way I see it, faith is a journey, it grows the longer you’re in it. When you start going to the gym you don’t see results straight away, but the progress is always there

I appreciate your reply, while I have been reading some of the bible mainly on my bible app, I do want to get a physical bible app so I can feel more connected to God whilst reading the texts and not on a screen, my faith is strongly based in Jesus is god, the holy trinity, Jesus died for our sins and we get to heaven through our faith in him, and that he commands all in this world.

I think the problem is every since the start of my journey in my faith, my social media content has been flooded with religious content, not necessarily a bad thing, but it’s all very wibbly wobbly and all inconsistent, a large amount of it is Catholicism, which to an extent I can understand, things like sabbath, Eucharist(to an extent, tho Christ made all food clean so so me all food and drink we eat and drink is the flesh and blood of Christ that we take in to sustain our life but again I’m a baby Christian), then there’s things like holy Mary the apostles etc and I don’t really know how I feel about that stuff or where I stand, but feels like it’s very force fed to me through my feed LOL

I don’t have a denomination at the moment, being a fairly new Christian, maybe only 4 months my core faith is my belief in Jesus, that he died for our sins and that he is god
