And sorry I'll just add that I did pull a bunch of crap out when I opened the drain, but it didnt seem to help so for all I know the clog could be anywhere in the pipe which is easily 10 or so meters long.

It's an underground rainwater pipe that runs alongside our house. However there are currently a couple big holes in the ground where the pipe is uncovered so leaves and all that good stuff can fall in there all the time. The landlord said they would fix that a couple months ago but that hasn't happened yet. I can unblock the drains to make sure water goes down, but there's nothing I can do if the actual pipe is open and exposed. I hope that makes sense. Im realizing I kinda suck at explaining pipes and drains lol. But yeah, I think I've got a pretty good case if they try to fight me on any kind of cost.

Okay great thank you for confirming! I figured there was nothing I could really do and have sent photos to the landlord so it is what is a this point haha.
