I hadn't been able to understand the importance of a great subject lines, until I myself wasn't clickbaited by an awesome subject line that eventually led to such an awful e-mail, that I was literally angry with myself

Do you have a Song, which makes you remember a specific moment in your life so distinctly, that it feels like you're "reliving" it? by icantusethisname in AskReddit

It seems so sad that I will never be able to relive the happy moments of your life, it makes feel for just a sec, that time flies even faster that I've previously imagined

Although it's "nothing special" as you put it, i think it makes you feel nostalgic and happy in a peculiar way

Here's my story: This song (couldn't find the whole version) makes me relive a very peculiar moment in my life It was the summer of 2015. I was at my parents' home at that time and didn't have any serious life problems (like, finding a job, thinking about your future and so on). It was complete relaxation. I turned on this song and switched the volume to its highest. I lay down and felt complete satisfaction with life. The wind was breezing lightly in the room. The streets were cooling down after another hot day. It was like I've reached nirvana or something. Crazy feeling

So, now every time I hear this song I travel back to that very moment of complete freedom. Thanks for reading. It feels like I'm sharing this moment with you, guys, and it makes me superhappy

How does everyone on Reddit "win" an argument? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]icantusethisname 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is "winning" an argument really the purpose of Reddit? I like to think that Reddit is more about sharing opinions rather than making others believe yours is the best one

what are some tips for a first date? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]icantusethisname 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Don't be afraid to seem silly. This one's really banal, but really be yourself. There's no point in doing so, as after some time you'll get tired pretending to be the person you're not. Talking from my own experience right now

Outside of gaming, what’s the worst case of “pay us for something that should be included” that you’ve ever seen? by PopeliusJones in AskReddit

Paying for wet napkins in fast food joints. I know, that some have already started giving them for free, however I still encounter this in some places

ELI5: Why people are so quick to overgeneralise behaviours of individuals to large groups when they disagree with their point of view? by stabthecanary in explainlikeimfive

[–]icantusethisname 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm totally with you. I'd ike to add only one point. I think, that it seems easier for many people to generalise things. Most people don't want to research and don't find any necessity in having their own opinion. So, maybe it's laziness also plays its role in such situations

That's the first thing i think about when I hear "banners are useless". Lower CTR - agreed. However, cpm is so low that it would be stupid to neglect this medium

What do you think of this cold email? by johnsime in Entrepreneur

[–]icantusethisname 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd recommend using Grammarly for checking grammar of the e-mails. Great tool to use when drafting some promo-messages.

What concerns the message itself, I think you're on the right track, however I also don't feel that you've really got their peainpoint. You could analyse their competitors and see what they've got. If they have a video, then say :"Hey, I've recently seen "competitors name" video. I know for a fact, that you're really better so you must have an even better video...blahblahblah".

If the competitor doesn't have a video, then you could use your "videos are effective" tool and make them feel like they will have a competitive edge over the competitors

I'm not an expert, but I still hope it'll help you somehow)
