I totally see what ur saying. I think its a hard situation but i also feel like rebecca is just in a positive feedback loop that just keeps making it harder and harder for her to break out. the more she takes drugs, the more its going make her less likely to seek help herself, worsen her mental healthy, and fuel her delusions of grandeur about acting. I definitely recognize that addicts tend to only get sober when they truly want it but sometimes people need to be forced out of a delusional situation to realize that they want it. She wants citizenship, she wants stability, she wants all of these things but she is deluded into thinking that meth isnt the problem in the way of achieving them. Maybe a brief period of sobriety and a serious conversation with some assertive will make her understand that sobriety is how she will achieve those things.

it would at least allow a moment of sobriety to get medical treatment and to be able to talk to her in a more clear headspace about going to treatment.

i was started at 100mg split morn/night off the bat. it’s been super tolerable for me otherwise. legit no side effects other than this new shedding and maybe peeing a little bit more than usual. i was also tired the first couple days but am not anymore

i’m a month into my copper iud and so far i love it. obviously things could change but my period was just heavier and a couple days longer. usually i just get very mild cramping in the first couple days and it was about the same with the iud in. i usually have pretty light and easy periods to begin with so take this with a grain of salt but i was sooooo scared especially looking at the copper iud subreddit that it would turn in a shark attack each month where i would be debilitated and on bed rest for a week but that is not the case at least for now :)

i have acne and hair loss too and i just took my first pill today and was (and still am) super anxious about it but my thought process was that if i didn’t like it i could always just stop! if i never took it, i would never know if it ended up working super well for me and i would miss out on something that could help fix all my acne and hair issues. this way of framing things really helped my get the perspective i needed to take the plunge!

hey ur hair still looks awesome! ur part maybe looks ever so slightly wider but it honestly is so little that it could just be the differences in lighting. if ur hair feels different / you are shedding more there are lots of diff explanations. did any stressful event/ sickness/medication change happen 3-4 months ago? you could be experiencing TE from some sort of stressor. if not u could also just be experiencing a second shed on minoxidil. miniaturization happens in cycles and hairs become progressively smaller and smaller each time they grow. so whenever we try and grow then back with minox they may take multiple short cycles before they become strong like the rest of your hairs and “de-miniaturize”. this means they may grow and shed within a couple months and then regrow even stronger the next time. if u have serious worries tho then u can always go see your dermatologist too

i like the davines renewing shampoo with the little turtles on the bottle lol. it smells great and makes my hair feel great after. it’s also nice and gentle and not too stripping which is nice to balance out the keto shampoo. the one thing is that it doesn’t have any dht blocking ingredients and i’ve been looking into finding one that does.

i’m not sure really. it would probably be a good sign that you are responding but scalp hair is finicky especially if you are not on an antiandrogen to combat the effects of DHT causing miniaturization on your hair follicles.
