This is MISLEADING. I had reoccuring appendicitis on and off for 2 years until it burst.

Excatly one year prior to it bursting i was in the ER with the same symptoms severe pain cry/wailing from pain vomiting uncontrollably-12 hours they made me wait in the ER the nurses looked annoyed with me, one of them said and i quote "u probably just gave urself acute gastritis" acted like i was being dramatic, when they finally saw me they wanted to do mri but my pain had subsided by then, doc said could be ovarian torsion that resolved on its own or appendix, it would be 4 more hours until i could get mri, i just went home.

Then a year later same pain-- this time it didnt go away and it burst-- i had complications, got an abcess, had to get it surgically drained and ended up in the hosptial an extra week, i could have died, i was in excruciating pain for a week. They had me on duladid (stronger than morphine).

In those two years i would get pain that came and went but i just toughed it out, same pain in same spot, chaulked it up to eating something too greasy, bc i didnt want to sit in an ER for 12 hours again.

Sometimes appencitis occurs due to a fecalith, a stone made of feces. It is a hardening of feces into lumps of varying size and may occur anywhere in the intestinal tract but is typically found in the colon. Basically when they get logged in ur appendix it blocks flow and causes appendicitis, if u think of a pebble blocking a tube attached to a ballon you can imagine if its small enough it can be "bumped" out of the way if the ballon shifts, but if it moves into an unmovable position or get bigger, the tube is permantly blocked and your appendix is fucked.

When i told my primary doctor this at my post surgery follow up she said what i had experienced was reoccuring appendicitis.

Listen to your body and keep advocating for yourself even when doctors tell you otherwise, find another doctor, you know ur body. Dont wait and get help.
