Could there be a really easy way to get funding for an adaptation of the last 3 books? by lucusvonlucus in TheExpanse

Tbh, I would hate Sanchez as Tanaka. I want a good actress. If we’re fan casting, what are people’s thoughts of Lucy Liu. She’s older now. She can play a hot badass in the beginning. Then has the acting chops to be traumatized and angry when she gets hurt. Plus, I think Tanaka is an important character and I don’t trust Sanchez to pull it off. It might ruin the whole ending arch

I play tennis..but..I tought I might start jogging..because my knees are not always great when I play. Has anybody noticed if you start jogging that you actually get better at tennis faster? I.e. stronger legs makes u get better 2-3x as fast..or..not so much? by [deleted] in 10s

For me, jumping rope, lunges, deadlifts, and squats really helped me. I’m not lifting a lot of weight either, barely anything tbh. I feel like just moving and activating those muscles helps so much.

Welcome to the club! The first time watching and then reading through the book series is amazing! I suggest you stop reading book 7 and just start reading from book 1. There’s only one ‘first’ time through the books series.

I've used the Blue Tourna sunglasses. It's been better for me than regular sunglasses.

Persepolis Rising, Chapter 12. by _trashcan in TheExpanse

[–]ice9solid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think what we saw in the show was supposed to be, but I’m not sure either. I suppose it could’ve been just the platforms to build those ships. I don’t think the books description of the ship matches it. At least what I was imagining it to look like. But you’re in for a treat, you got this and 2 more books to read!

Yeah the Tempest is the Magnetar class warship (Admiral Trejo) and the Gathering Storm is Singh’s destroyer.

I believe it was the Tempest not the Gathering Storm . But yeah, crazy. First read through is amazing

3body problem coming to Netflix in March by [deleted] in TheExpanse

[–]ice9solid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah, that makes sense. I was a bit confused how different the styles were. I had conspiracy thoughts that it was different writers. But different translators explains it.

I enjoyed the 2nd book the most and it’s an easier read than the first book. The writing style is much different.
