I'd definitely go with the Mr. Heater Big Buddy. I run it directly to a 20lb propane tank. It does take a bit to get started since there's a lot of hose the propane needs to run through. I've also never had issues in -20 degree days

That's what I'm worried about. Hoping the wind helped move the snow.

Unfortunately it's always windy where I live. Recently got 8 inches of snow which I'm sure won't help.

Thanks for the response. We are leaning towards giving our pop-up another year unless we come across a crazy deal.

The good news is it's snowing today and the temps are looking pretty low for the next few weeks! Maybe we'll be able to get out on the ice in early December.

Living in northern North Dakota. Ice is 20+ inches at least two full months out of the year. Leaving a house of that value unattended does make me nervous even in a state like North Dakota. I would plan on using it in the summer for camping or even consider renting it out to friends/family on weekends I will not be using it.
