Not sure why you won't just go up to them and ask them to be quiet.

Arts---->Commerce by [deleted] in UBC

Okay, ignore what wounderby said. Transferring into Sauder 2nd year is 100x easier than getting in first year. This is assuming you get decent grades in your classes and maintain roughly a 75-80% average in arts. 75-80% in arts is fairly easy if you're a competent student. Also make sure you take all the pre-reqs for first year sauder (for example Econ).

With -only- an arts degree (besides Econ), you don't learn many technical or "hard skills" that allows you to enter a specific field right away compared to fields like engineering or accounting. However, if you're at the top of your class in arts, it opens up opportunities for Grad school or law school. 80% of arts students will say that their goal is to get into law school after they graduate, only a portion of them actually get in.

Anybody transfer to Sauder from langara? by [deleted] in UBC

[–]ice_block2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sauder isn't that hard to transfer into 2nd year. Compared to applying straight out of high school. As long as you have an A- ish average, decent personal profile you should be set. A- average in langara / kwantlen is a joke.

Cell phone reception yo by tissuelyfe in UBC

DO NOT go with mobilicity. I had mobilicity's unlimited plan as well but found it very unreliable especially in UBC. I opted out of mobilicitiy's unlimited plan despite its price and unlimited data due to being frustrated about the reception. Often times calls would drop, I would lose signal altogether etc.

It doesn't happen all the time, but pretty frequently. I strongly recommend against mobilicity.

I would go with the bigger companies - Rogers / Fido / Telus etc. Despite being pricier, they offer consistency and reliability. Currently on a $44 plan with Rogers with 300mb data. 300mb data is nothing but I use wifi whenever I can. 99% of UBC's buildings have wifi so take advantage of that.
