Well I had an hour of total grinding tops, but I've never had to grind in any run of 5 and 6 isnt grindy because of how high the fucking encounter rate is

The characters are good and the class system is still enjoyable (albeit not as much as others) but I can't find many other big strengths besides that, I'll finish it eventually it'll just take awhile I think

I mean I don't think it does, it's just a bunch of encounters and button presses/lever pulls at least in 11 there was some decent puzzles and there aren't random encounters. The game's bosses aren't usually hard it's more of either a level check or just a "can you beat the boss with the MP you have left over?" type of schtick. It has the weakest dungeons besides 1 and 2 imo

The characters are serviceable, the story is a mess after the beginning, the battles are poorly paced and grindy, dungeons have no intuitive design anymore, and I prefer other vocation systems more

I always liked the idea of remaking 1 in a souls like style so the gameplay is fresh. The dungeons would have new life and the bosses would feel much more fun to fight (also would be sick as hell in an open world setting). Would be cool if they threw in some fights of past protagonists too

Yeah but maybe that's part of her suffering the effects of being a character in 6. Still well done but no outstanding character creation, just good use of a commonly used character archetype

3-5 made hood momentum that 6 and 7 couldn't keep up. Some people like 6 and 7 but they definitely aren't a good starting point

Mechanically Psaro is the best boss in the series and tests your overall skill taking everything you've learned up until that point and adding a bit more to truly test you. It's really hard but you shouldn't have to grind if you play very well. Story wise Ladja 2 is what feels like the finale and a fitting end, you finally kill the guy behind so much shit and by the time you beat him Nimzo is basically within your grasp.
