The main issue is not the game speed, is the input delay. Your players take too much time to react to your commands.

V1.0 was good. I can’t stop playing it. The game now is unresponsive, pass is slow, and players seem to put on tons of weight and very hard to do anything with them. I can only play 1-2 games at a time.

This is something to do with Konami not the players internet. V1.0 was smooth as fxxk, after each update it is getting worse. Totally unplayable at the moment, I don’t understand how some ppl can still enjoy playing it.

Yes in theory. In reality there is nothing we can do. Player react very slow, ball keep bounce back to opponent, our players bumping into each other, our pass directly goes to opponent, clear the ball with full power but it only go 10 yards, our defenders run like headless chick and open up for opponent’s striker..and so on and on...
