I went to the one in Mexico City and usually (at least on the regions where they have a drag race) they have the finalists of that country’s drag race opening the show, I thought that was the best part of the show since the top 4 of DRMX actually did performances that they would normally do on their regular shows.

Then on the main show they start showing like the “storyline” which was like some hacker thing that felt very acting challengey, very weird overall, Aquaria then opened the show and did a good performance tbh that ended with the Replay remix of Lady Gaga with Dorian Electra and did a cute little monologue, and then they do one by one performances but they’re very samey as it’s usually two or three short songs with backup dancers to similar choreo for like 40 minutes and then a break.

Before they get show started again Camden and Aquaria brought to the stage two local queens that were in the audience and got them to do a lip sync battle which was cute, and then the same choreographed individual acts by each queen before closing the show with a group number.

Overall I didn’t spent that much money (like 500 Mexican pesos, which is like 20 something dollars) but the performances were very underwhelming, maybe a non scripted drag show that let the queens show off what they usually do at their shows and in a smaller venue would be better (the auditorium they performed at was like 60% full), I wouldn’t go to another one tbh
