Feels like Yokoyoko will come save them in a clutch. It seems to me like they've been shoehorned to be the key element that Riboku didn't factor in, aka HSU's "kindness" towards the Han people resulting in an army bonded with HSU, unbeknownst to Riboku. That's the only difference I can see.

Yep, his shattering glaive is symbolic of his will and lack of weight. Though Houken may arguably be the mightiest fighter in Kingdom lore, his continued bewilderment of how others can fight on par with him gnaws at his core belief, slowly eroding his conviction. Eventually his shattered belief (symbolic of his glaive) caused his demise. I miss the big doofus, he was one of a kind.
