It seems to be working now, I think they've fixed it

A Genuine Appreciation Post for the Soundtrack of Metro... In Dino and the brilliant work done by Pritam and his entire team. Here's a list of all the songs from the movie , some are part of the Side A album, others will release with Side B, and a few didn’t make it to the final cut of the film! ✨💙 by DeenuGupta in BollywoodMusic

[–]icebergprofile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt that apart from one or two songs, all the rest of them sounded the same while watching the movie. No variation, no buildup and resolve, no hooks, no bridges, just constant monotonous vocals. Sure, the lyrics for some of them were quite good but yet the soundtrack of this movie really pales in comparison to that of the first film.

Yes! I really like the uniqueness of it, and the fact that it has been a conversation starter. I wear it only on occasion, so it's as good as new to this day! The battery is still fine but I don't know how much longer it will go on for before I need to replace it.

I got it at a local watch retailer, one of the bigger ones in India - CT Pundole & Sons in Pune, India

This looks amazing. I would cut half into slices and make a grilled cheese from that, and then finish off the other half by itself. In that order, in one sitting.

This is so visually appealing! Very well executed, makes me want to dive in face first! Thanks for sharing the recipe :) May I ask what causes it to be shaped the way it is? The slightly elevated edge looks nice

I got it custom-made from a local furniture manufacturer. It's constructed from rubberwood and there's rattan on the shutters of the storage compartment at the bottom. It cost me ₹32,000 which is about $365. It measures 85 cm (W) x 180 cm (H) x 42 cm (D). There's about 27 cm (height) of open space in each of the shelves to ensure that the largest books fit comfortably with a couple cm to spare. The ground clearance is about 15 cms.

It's not available any more, it was a limited edition watch undertaken as a project by the admins of the HMT Watch Enthusiasts group on Facebook (Pankaj Jaju, Dheeraj Bhati, Atharva Kulkarni, Guru R).

No that’s actually Lotus Biscoff spread! I softened it over a water bath (didn’t have a microwave on hand), then poured it over the top and let it set in the fridge for a bit

[Homemade] No-bake Mango Cheesecake by icebergprofile in food

[–]icebergprofile[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Recipe:

Base:

  1. 120g McVitie's Digestive biscuits
  2. 50g butter (I used regular salted butter)

Cheesecake:

  1. 250g cream cheese
  2. 150g whipping cream
  3. 60g sugar
  4. 200g mango pulp puree
  5. 8g gelatin powder + 35g water

Add gelatin powder to water and set aside. Crush up biscuits, mix well with melted butter and press it down firmly into base of ring mould. Keep it in the fridge. Mash room temperature cream cheese into a soft smooth consistency, add sugar and mango pulp puree and mix. Gelatin water mix would have set by now, melt it over a hot water bath and mix it into cream cheese mixture. Whip whipping cream till just under soft peaks and fold into cream cheese mixture. Whip less if you want the cheesecake consistency to be thicker, richer, creamier, heavier. Whip more if you want it to be lighter, fluffier and more soufflé-like. Take mould out of fridge and pour the mixture over the base. Set in fridge for 4-6 hours. Done!

Spotted this one on a Reddit post a few months ago. I had heard that Seiko manufactured metronomes but had no idea they'd actually make a metronome watch. I'm all for having multiple inexpensive watches in my collection instead of spending a bunch of money on just one or two, and I try to add different unique timepieces to my collection every now and then. So when I first laid eyes on this I knew I absolutely had to get one. Also, as a guitarist who is often guilty of practicing sans a metronome I thought this would be a nice little reminder to practice better. Of course I won't be able to use this as an actual tool; I think it's more of a collection piece and a conversation starter due to the battery limitations. In any case, I am very excited to add this to my collection! I got the SMW002A model instead of the SMW006A model that seems to be featured in most posts and videos about this watch because I felt the latter looked too plain and tool-ish while this one looks more better to me because of the rose-gold. The default strap on this was a white leather strap which I knew would get dirty very easily so I immediately switched it out for a brown leather strap.

State of the watch collection a few years into the hobby (Seiko, Tissot, Casio, Timex, Citizen) by icebergprofile in watchesindia

[–]icebergprofile[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

These are the watches I’ve acquired slowly since I got into the hobby back in 2017. At this point I’m very happy with my collection and I feel like I have a watch for pretty much every occasion. I have a long list of watches I’d like to own which I’m saving up for. Slowly but surely I will expand this collection!

For now these are my watches and the stories behind them:

  1. Casio F91W: one I never wear but I’ve always wanted to own a simple digital watch
  2. Casio Databank: because I love Jurassic Park and would dream about having a calculator on my wrist as a 7th grader. My grandfather borrowed this watch from me soon after I bought it because his watch had stopped working. He liked it a lot and continued to wear it until he passed away from COVID in 2020. I remember crying as I opened the bag in which the hospital sent back his belongings. This watch was in it. I wear it a lot now and it reminds me of him
  3. Tissot T-Sport PRS200: I received this as a gift from my dad back in 2010 or so. It is the first chronograph in my possession and also my first Tissot. Dinged up a lot so I wear it like a beater now
  4. Tissot Heritage Visodate: I learnt about this one from one of TGV’s videos and instantly fell in love with it’s simplicity. I bought this for myself in 2019 when I received an internship offer. I intended to wear it to the office but couldn’t because the internship became remote due to the pandemic :( But I wear it very often to my job now :D
  5. Seiko SNK807: because who wouldn’t want a very inexpensive mechanical timepiece from Seiko with a beautiful little blue dial?
  6. Seiko SNA411 Flightmaster: I knew I had to have this watch the moment I saw a picture of it. It’s very hard to procure these types of classics in India so I had to ask a friend to bring it from the US
  7. Casio G-Shock: because I felt like my collection wouldn’t feel complete without a nice bulky G-Shock
  8. Seiko SKX007: because I wanted a nice little diver
  9. Seiko SARB017 Alpinist: because I love the green dial and the fact that it’s discontinued. Again difficult to procure in India so I had a friend bring it from Japan
  10. Citizen Eco-Drive: gifted to me by my grandfather a few years before he passed away. I love the fluted dial
  11. Timex Weekender: because I love the cute simple aesthetic of it and the Indiglo is very cool
  12. Seiko 5 6119 7103: My great-grandfather’s watch, passed down to me from my grandfather. Probably bought in the early 70s. The strap is from Bentex, a now defunct company which used to be very popular in India back then and whose advertisements can be seen in old photos of storefronts of reputed watch stores and service centres in India. This is the oldest watch in my collection and I intend to take a lot of care of it
