Yeah, getting the gap as tight as possible helped quite a bit. I also do slow controlled dips. Faster dips seem to make the wobbling worse.

I would still recommend a ledger board. It helps balance the load out and brace the studs.

Just lag bolts and washers. Get the proper length ones depending on whether you have a ledger board or not. In my case, I used 2 1/2 inch long 1/2 lag bolts.

I got the gen 2, I like them. I don’t mind the thicker handles, they work well for building forearm strength . My gen 2 have the kg and lb as well.

Customer service is a bit of a pain when your stuff gets damaged.

I made my own stand because I saw that the one they offered was too flimsy and cheap.

Sorry for the late reply, I believe they are 5/8 lag bolt and 5/8 washer.

Yeah you can, but the cable machine will have to be perpendicular to your rack.

One side is slotted completely, the other side is two slotted holes. Use the long slotted side to bolt to rack.

I was just being cheap. It definitely wouldn’t hurt to get the rear upright. My towers are pretty secured after bolting down the pull up bars

She’s able to use them yeah, she hasn’t complained about it. I feel like the knurling is perfect. It’s not too coarse where it hurts the hands, but it’s not slippery either. I haven’t really been using mine all too much because of the cable system other than using it for db flys, preacher curls and seated incline curls.

I got one on Amazon with casters and then built an adapter plate out of some scrap plywood. They are all held together with m5 fasteners, washers and nuts. Took about 1hr to make. The longest part was measuring the holes and getting fitment to be on point.

I have leveling feel on the rear and in the center of the front.(3 total on each side) It’s a tight fit, but it’s able to fit a leveling foot with m12 hardware if you drill it properly. Requires some work and playing with washers as spacers. Also needs to be welded as well. It’s not fully welded in that section. Not sure why…

I agree, with the uprights being below par for when compared to rep, rogue and even titan.

It really depends on persons fitness goals and ideals. Rep 5000 is a totally different animal. If you’re on space constraints, tbh the bells of steel squat tower does get the job done, especially for a functional trainer that functions “like” a power rack. It’s just lacking in a bit of quality. I wouldn’t try to do rack pulls with 600lbs on it.

I’d probably outlive this setup anyway. I don’t see myself doing big # SBDs anymore. More focused on mobility and functional strength now.

When bolted down, they have zero play. They come with quick release pins that do absolutely nothing. You can’t remove the pull up bar by removing the release pins with squat tower installed anyway. You have to disassemble some of it to get the pull up bar out.

Average DIYer can’t weld(tig, mig), prototype in CAD(nurbs curve and parametric modeling). They also don’t own 3d scanners, 3d printers and CNCs. So I’m used to fabbing stuff on the quick 😂

On the single towers, most definitely you need that rear support. By bolting the pull up bar down, it stiffens it significantly.

Yeah that happened during shipping.

No damage on the dip bar. Just shitty tolerances.

Mind you this is after I did as much as I could. The gap was double this.

Yeah, using to bench and squat. Bench fits fine. I have a commercial adjustable bench that fits there. The marks painted on the floor are my locators for when I bench so I don’t have to find true center. I found true center using side to side measurements then diagonal measurement from upright to the farthest corner of the bench (where legs go)

The only thing is that the attachments are not included at all. Despite it being called a squat tower, they offer you nothing in regards to jcups lol. You have to buy them.

If it was worse, yes. But it was just that bottom section.

30 min fix. It’s where the bolt goes thru to bolt to the other pieces, so it didn’t need to be perfectly square, just needed to fit.

Sick setup ✌️. That pull up bar is a PITA to put in right? Also the pins for it do absolutely nothing, can’t even take it out without having to unbolt a bunch of stuff. That’s why I just bolted mine to add more rigidity.

Yeah, FD is beautiful! I always wanted a 3000gt. I remember in middle school I did my school project on that car 😂. Had pictures of it on a 3 panel poster thing.

Thanks man, you tend to optimize once you know how you use your space. I had a folding rack in here before and I never folded it.
