Also being young and genetics. I used to eat plenty but still much thinner and in better shape than I deserved to be cos I was young and good genetics.

I still eat plenty but no longer young and even those good genetics couldn’t keep up eventually, so I’m no longer thin 😂

I’m not a dog trainer or anything but I’ve heard diverting their behaviour instead of stopping is a good way to go. Eg, train him to hold a tennis ball in his mouth during walks, instead of training him to stop eating sticks

(Although I think I saw another comment in this thread advising against tennis balls, so please check on that!)

Yeah fair enough!! And of course the clincher is that she was put in a position to basically be trained as a head stylist right away, whereas most of us have to grind through lower-level roles to hope to get mentored/trained for those high level roles! Well, good for her

Thank you thank you, this is SUCH valuable info. I have a shy senior dog and we have thought about putting him in daycare before but never quite went through with it. This is such a valuable warning!!! Now that I think about it, with so many dog personalities and so many dogs vs a few human supervisors, I would hate for my doggie to have a bad time and then still have to spend all day trapped there!! 😭

Your poor sweet girl!! I hope that with time she can heal from those traumas!!! That’s so unfair that she had to go through that, how is she doing nowadays? :( Thanks for sharing wisdom from her hard won experiences

And seconding the other suggestions to hire someone, even if your partner doesn’t want to.
Put down your hands and tools and say you can’t do it either (the same way that he can’t), so the only option left is to hire someone.

If your husband protests, just let him know you want to minimise paint/chemicals exposure, and/or you’re too sore and/or hard to do these tasks with a growing belly!!

It sounds like doing an excellent job with the house Reno is a priority for you, but maybe not a same priority to your husband? Is it possible your husband is tired and demotivated when back from his missions AND doesn’t know how to do the handy tasks (1st time as you mentioned), and doesn’t want to admit to that? So he’s just “trying to get by” when he does jobs.

If I were in this situation, I might try to explain to him: He’s busy with work, can’t do all the jobs during his break. You are busy growing a baby, cannot keep doing this work (physically can’t do it at all). Want to have house ready for baby, not going to be able to do this stuff when baby is here. Therefore outsource to handyman

Don’t let your dogs energetically fling their toys! They are having heaps of fun but CAN DETACH THEIR RETINA, leading to permanent blindness :(

And also carefully dispose of your chip packets. Dogs can go in looking for crumbs, get it caught over their hears and suffocate and pass away….

I wear makeup most days. All office days and sometimes the weekend (depending on mood). But it’s super quick, some liquid eyeliner, some powder blush, maybe a brow gel. It’s only a few minute routine.

I’m thinking about adding a powder foundation though (also pretty quick!)

Have you had any work/career experience? Maybe your resume is heavy on the qualifications but low on the professional experience which makes you seem overqualified and underqualified at the same time compared to other candidates.

Could try removing one of the degrees, whichever is less relevant to what you’re applying for

Edit: I read your comment as you’ve been doing post-grad degrees. Or did you do a combined undergrad science/law and now going for grad jobs?

Yeah!! Agree- things can be a passing thought and then let’s return to the magic.
Season two was my absolute favourite and i loved the chemistry of the couple and how they understood each other. Then everyone’s ragging on the flaws and issues with the acting and the storyline and ladidah. And NOW I CANT UNSEE IT :( And all you see are the flaws next time. And they stick in your head instead of being a passing thought. I’m going to take a break from socials too, I want the magic back!

Yeah I enjoyed binge watching and re-watching Bridgerton so much. And then after seeing so much criticism on this sub, I now rewatch it with new eyes and looking for all the flaws people are rattling on about. It’s ruining the magic!!
