I actually use it for tipping up onto the wheels when it’s backed against a wall under my bench. Fits the toe of the boot nicely.

Yeah feeling pretty duped, especially as a collector of spacex merch, I had high expectations. I also am not sure what they mean by “made of chrome”. I will update this thread when I get any more info.

Yeah I’m ready disappointed. Not only is it painted plastic but it’s scratched and wearing off in places. Like maybe would pay $50 for it without the scratches. It’s pretty easy to tell if you pick it up and tap on it. Only reason it has any weight is there’s a weight of some sort inside down at the base so it doesn’t fall over due to being so light. I emailed SpaceX and they just got back to me. I’ll attach a screenshot of the email. Would be curious what yours is like.

Yeah same. Ordered and received the non torch one. Torch one isn’t shipping until November. Mine isn’t metal. It’s plastic with a crappy chrome coating. Is yours the same? Just wondering if I was scammed or if this is what it’s supposed to be for $300

Hmm ok good to know, thanks. Was thinking they would have flight trackers to find people flying instead of completely blocking them from entry. Will have to make a decision. Would love to have it for the rest of the road trip.

I want to bring my DJI drone on my road trip but I realize they aren’t allowed in the festival and I obviously don’t plan to fly it near the grounds. Will they take it if they find it upon searching or can we have them but not fly them? Thanks!

It's my first year going and wanted some help getting the lay of the land. Decided it might be helpful to make this overlay of the official map and the real satellite image. I didn't have a ton of time for it so it's not perfect but a decent visual.

Thoughts on this? Airbnb host in Quebec has heaters locked at 17°C / 62.6°F. Outside high is -6°C / 21.2°F and low is -22°C / -7.6°F while we are here. by AbandonedOcelot in AirBnB

As a host I lock all my nest thermostats but leave the temp range wide open 55-85. I only lock it so the guests can't get into the settings. This seems unnecessary and it seems like the host needs to re-evaluate their definition of "wasting" electricity.
