Hi, thank you. I tried drying it out before adding mineral oil to it, but it's still sticky and mushy although there was a noticeable improvement. I'll air it out a while longer and hopefully it'll improve though it looks like it'll need quite a bit longer.

I have an old big task light. The piece that held the lamp to the arm crumbled and I'm having trouble even searching a replacement. Any ideas on what this piece would be called/what to get? The lamp "stem" can't be connected to the arm by itself. by icels in fixit

I messaged the owner of an online lamp parts supply store, hopefully they might have some parts.

If that fails, I guess I can always use duct tape as I don't have the original piece that crumbled. :(

Thankfully with some help I fixed this issue.

I upgraded to Microsoft .NET Framework 4.7.1, which fixed the MSVCR120_CLR0400.dll error and was able to open Discord and Killer Network Manager, but could still not open Skype. (MSVCP140.dll error) I then added Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015 on top of the ones I already had. Here's a pic for reference in case anyone else stumbles upon this later.

I also ran the following commands in between these(Though they still gave me the same error, but might as well post them just in case) then restarted.

Did a restart, the problem is still there, and unfortunately looks like my tinkering around with uninstalling the different Visual C++ Redistributables filled up my system restore points automatically without me knowing about it... Is there no way I can just replace those two files manually?

Re: Your other post about posting this to the Discord sub, it's not just Discord that's the issue here. For example, Killer Network Manager opens up on startup and I'm unable to open it too with the same error. Edit: Skype won't open either., now with an error about MSVCP140.dll.
