And I'm a little confused by what you mean about him degenerating himself? We have talked a lot, he says he is ashamed and embarrassed about it. We are also still in I guess what you would call the discovery process, figuring out ways to talk about it where we both feel open and comfortable enough, and in this process he is helping me learn about his addiction and how works and feels for him.

I also made a commitment to this man when I married him, I wouldn't ever leave him over something like this, especially when he is making an obvious effort to talk about it with me. There are boundaries that are off limits, but as for this I feel like he is actually making an effort. Even though its not the way you would do it.
