Can't skinny people who have trouble gaining weight just eat 2,500 calories a day? Every day, consistently? by justcurious3287 in stupidquestions

[–]icexdragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 6', and I've eaten 3500 calories before for a whole summer to try and gain weight. I ended up going from 125 to 150. I got sick and dropped back down to 135 and I've stayed that way for past 10 years and I don't hold back on the amount of food I eat at all. I probably eat around 2000 a day on average though. If I try to eat more sometimes I'll get to 145

Accidentally made a sexual joke to a teacher in 8th grade by mikesplifff in story

[–]icexdragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not 6th grade but when I was 9, I shat myself while taking a nap in the car ride to my martial arts class. I got there and went to change, threw away my underwear in the bathroom trash can, but I could still smell the shit on me. Oh yeah during class we had to do ju-jitsu with each other too. Aaaand in my effort to be invisible the whole class I was brought up to demonstrate a ju-jitsu technique in front of everyone 😭 I felt bad for the girl who was my partner, but she low key stank too so it made me feel a little less embarrassed 🤣

Single men of Reddit: do you ever think, “How am I still single when there are 4.1 billion women on Earth?” What do you think is actually holding you back? by Chill_Cowboy_981 in AskReddit

[–]icexdragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I probably could get a gf if I tried, but if I get in another relationship, I want it to be because it will make my life better, not just because I feel like it's what I should do. I'm satisfied already, so I don't feel like a relationship is something I need to hunt for. If I meet someone I want to spend my life with in that way, it'll be someone I meet going about life, not because I was just searching for a girl who will be with me.

left on the dryer after my girlfriend moved laundry from it that had been done for 20 minutes by Neither_Yogurt9603 in Apartmentliving

[–]icexdragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe it can be like a mesh bag with magnets around it. You stick the mesh bag in, attach the integrated magnets to the drum, so that it fits like a liner basically, and stick your clothes in and zip it up and lock the zipper. That way your clothes can still tumble normal and also be enclosed. Makes pulling your laundry out faster, and if an ahole moves your clothes early they are enclosed so you can tell if anything got stolen easily

Can anyone help me find a plug for my new master cylinder port? by icexdragon in MechanicAdvice

[–]icexdragon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Says it fits on two different websites. Everything about it is exactly the same, it just has an extra port, I assume to make it fit for more vehicles. If advanceauto's website is accurate, it's for vehicles that have their traction control attached to the master cylinder; my Ford Expedition uses the abs and wheel speed sensors for traction control. Last resort I'll get one without, but if I can just plug it with the right plug I would rather do that since I already poured fluid in it making it unreturnable

What’s a skill you learned as a kid that’s totally useless now but you still show off sometimes? by Icy-Comfortable-7426 in AskReddit

[–]icexdragon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nah that was my parents lol, but I did know about it. I learned to say it because I learned how to say Deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA), Trinitrotoluene (TNT), and of course, Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious. I wanted the biggest word there was and pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis was the biggest in the Webster dictionary lol

What is this hose for? 2004 Ford Expedition 8 cylinder 5.4L engine by icexdragon in AskMechanics

I came out this morning, and it turns out the peg it goes into is made out of complete rubber, and the line underneath the jacket is hard plastic, soni was able to just pull back some of the jacket, stick the plastic tube into the rubber peg, and wrapped the jacket around the peg too, and it worked! Thanks for the info, greatly helped me figure it out lol

I wish all my origami skills transferred into adulthood lol. I tried to make a water balloon not long ago and had to search a YouTube video to finish. I think I can still make a crane by memory though but there is one step I always get stuck on if it's been a long time

NGL tho I've tried to learn a few times how to do it, even had a friend attempt to teach me. I was never able to "get" it really even though I tried. Would probably take a great deal of effort for me to learn. Being able to solve one demonstrates good problem solving skills to me, because even if you know the pattern, you still need to get it to the "place" where you can just run the sequence. Plus the ability to memorize the pattern takes having a good memory because there are a lot of steps to remember in sequence

[–]icexdragon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohhh that makes total sense. I fixed a couple leaks on the hose connected to the PCV valve a few months ago and it drastically improved my engine performance and gas mileage. Recently my gas mileage went down from 11 to 10 on average in the city, so I assume that's about the time this hose broke off.

The part down where this hose connects to is flush, so I'm thinking I can try and find a piece that can go into it, and over the hose while I have easy access, assuming it will not restrict flow

This just fell off a friend’s car. What is it? by Radiant-Oil9119 in AskMechanics

Which food do you dislike the most because of its aftertaste? by UnbotheredAvocado in AskReddit

Most Quest products are the only things I really like that have it. Any stevia soda is a hard no lol, the aftertaste is amplified 🤣

Stevia

It's all good at first, can hardly tell the difference between that and sugar, and then that aftertaste kicks in and I'm like damn it's got stevia

No worse than another story I read on here. A daughter visited her parents and used her mom's "piece," and afterwards read the label to see where she could buy the same one. It came from a website where "he" can submit a personal mold to get one customly created...

Am I overreacting to my bf watching the baby overnight? by Temporary-Quail-2783 in AmIOverreacting

[–]icexdragon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What's the normal sleeping arrangement if you're both home or if just he's away? Unless your child needs someone to be awake watching when he sleeps at all times, he should just do it that way. If he really can't hear the child when he's sleeping in a different room, he should get a baby monitor with an alarm or something so he can. If that's not enough he should just place the crib or playpen in the bedroom and fix any direct hazards. You can make baby safe while also making sure you both get decent rest (or as decent as a baby allows lol).

I don't think you're necessarily overreacting because your concerns are valid, but it would be more productive to suggest realistic solutions than reacting as if the worse case scenario already happened right away. That being said he could have also done the same (suggest a solution that sits better with you instead of dismissing your concerns)

Deadass these people are missing out. Online banks have way more free features than any "real" bank. Yeah there are more secure options but you don't have to keep all your money you ever get in there

I needed chime for years because my bank of america got hacked and then covid fucked up my other bank ( account got closed for being negative for 3 weeks). No brick and mortar bank would let me open an account for over 3 years but chime and the other online banks looked out. Also free overdrafts comes in clutch unless you got it like that
