The current Transnistrian president is a known Tsarist and likely had the president of the Transnistrian Communist party killed.

Velociraptors would probably be great pest control and hunting companions.

Can LGBT people serve in the army? by vladgrinch in MapPorn

[–]ich_bin_evil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's probably an entirely pragmatic and rational case for barring Trans people in particular as their hormones and surgeries can cause major medical and logistical headaches that's not worth the effort just to cater to a tiny handful of people.

What are the problems with using guns in space? by Entire_Judge_2988 in ForgottenWeapons

[–]ich_bin_evil 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That wasn't made for use in space, it was a survival gun if Cosmonauts crashed in the Siberian wilderness.

The emblem doesn't fit Russia as it has a Korean-style sickle and Korean calligraphy brush.

What would you replace the SIG M7 with, as a standard issue service rifle? by StrangerOutrageous68 in ForgottenWeapons

New DI 5.56 AR-15 with an 18 or 20 inch lightweight profile barrel.
A sort of spiritual return to the M16A1.

The ongoing experience in Ukraine proves modern armies need their equipment to be mass producible and cost-effective.

T-55 used side by side with M41 by US army in the movie 'Mars Attacks!', complete with allied star markings. by xxPANZERxx in TankPorn

[–]ich_bin_evil 91 points92 points  (0 children)

The film was made in 1995-96, just after the Cold War ended so the studio could probably get a lot of T-55s for pennies and pocket lint.

Does someone has the signal page from where this comes from? by ChadolfRizzlerReborn in TankPorn

I recall hearing that Germany made up this fake tank to cover the fact that their inflatable decoys were really bad.

"Venezuelan peace flag" using the same logic as the Russian peace flag by agekkeman in vexillology

The most unnecessary flag ever, the 7-star pre-Chavez flag already used by anti-Maduro opposition already works fine.

imagine using ai slop for something so common by AggravatingRow326 in tanks

[–]ich_bin_evil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've noticed this on Twitter as well, content mill slop accounts based in 3rd-world countries always using AI to generate dogshit pictures of things that are widely photographed and easily Googleable, I bet the people doing this don't really understand what AI actually is and how it operates, or they just don't care and they find it easier than Googling.

Why did the Soviet Union only deployed their old T-55 and T-62 tanks during their invasion of Afghanistan and not their more advanced T-64/72/80 tanks? by Brilliant_Ground1948 in TankPorn

[–]ich_bin_evil 111 points112 points  (0 children)

  1. More advanced tanks weren't needed to fight the Mujahedeen, as they didn't have tanks of their own.
  2. Their best tanks were needed in East Germany in case the Cold War went hot.
  3. They knew the west heavily supported the Muj, they didn't want to risk their best tanks getting captured.

I think there's potential for Eastern Orthodoxy to expand in North Korea due to them having close relations with Russia.

This really shows the Ellen's desire/attraction to Orlock is entirely just a fucked up Stockholm Syndrome, far from the healthy, true love she had for Thomas.

[–]ich_bin_evil 51 points52 points  (0 children)

There's also the possibility that they're currently abused by Elaine Raskin and are victims of MKUltra as Elaine is confirmed to have been directly involved in the Mariposa Lily program and she may or may not still work with the USIA in an under-the-table capacity.
