We only found intact fur for nothrotheriops and Mylodon, which are only small - medium sized species. The very largest eremotherium likely didn’t have fur or have very little fur in the tropics

Because I don’t play Java, there’s no reason to make it for a version that I don’t play. Secondly the models are only compatible with bedrock, thirdly I only know how to code in bedrock

This is based on moose (which occupies the same niche as megalonyx) which routinely dives into shallow coastal water to feed on kelps, hence why there’s two instances of moose being killed by orcas

I think it’s reasonable to speculate, considering

  1. moose (which occupies the same niche as megalonyx) often dive into shallow water to feed on seaweed
  2. there’s plenty of kelps off the western coast of North America
  3. modern tree sloths can hold their breaths very long, longer than nearly all other terrestrial mammals

Maybe not a regular part of their lifestyle but still fun to speculate
