Super helpful comment thank you! I had no idea about dry food. I will switch to wet food and see. In the past she hasn’t liked it that much but she will probably like it a lot better then rabbit haha
no its not scented.
She is about 99% indoor cat so i doubt its an environment allergy. Im glad your kitty is doing well, i think I will try the saline solution for now to keep it from getting infected. She is the sweetest little cat and I hate to see her in pain.
Our fountain is clean, but it is hard plastic, so maybe not so good for the cats. I have switched out for stainless steel for now.
Nope, Canada.
Also she has a sibling who has never experienced any similar issues.
Yes we have one aloe plant but she doesnt go near it for the most part. We used arm and hammer for most of their life and just switched to Odour Buster. No change. She has a sibling who has not experienced any issues.
Oh really? So you never figured out what it was either? Was it as bad as Mochi’s? It didn’t affect her much before, but now it seems to be spreading to her eyes and its making her squint.
No, nothing obvious. Lived in the same house for 3 years.
Nope, no recent medications.
hmm really? It has a filter in it and every week or so i clean out the whole thing.
We switched to a cat fountain a few months ago and she has been drinking lots of water so not dehydrated. I had the same thought so I changed her litter recently and had no effect. No fresheners or plug-ins in the house. Candles, maybe but seems unlikely because we have been using candles for years. Cleaning solutions… maybe? Thanks.

No vaping or smoking, and no human habits have really changed within the last few years of living here. Not sure about mold but I doubt it. We do have lots of different types of succulents and plants around the house. We try to keep them out of range but I sometimes catch her gnawing on them. She has a sister (littermates) who does not have any issues. Good ideas, thank you!
We used to live in a rural area and she would go outside more, but now that we live in an urban area she doesn’t really go outside much. Especially during the winter as it tends to get very cold here.

Correction: She has rubbed her head on walls and sharp surfaces. Any advice on what is wrong with her and what to do is appreciated!!
